Did you watch the Moomba parade? You gotta love these polies that talk about community and then hatchet the traditions that bind. I'm completely convinced that the conservative side of politics has hoodwinked much of Aus into believing that only money matters. By the time the fog has lifted it will be too late, we'll be more coldly American to those less fortunate and the change will be permanent.

We've had it all here. Heatwaves and cold snaps. Drought and now days of drizzle, followed by severe storms, followed by rain, followed by drizzle...... It never ceases to amaze me how this country can go from crispy, crunchy brown to shiny green in a day after good rain.

We're now in the lead up to Easter. Lent is in full swing and the Bunnies and Bilbies are duking it out for supremacy. ( I'm barracking for the Bilbies )

Off to get my flu shot this week. This'll be my third. They've worked so well the past 2 years, I don't know why I didn't get them sooner.

Yep all well again...then I went to work and felt like getting an infected person to kiss me and take more time off....oh the silence was nice...well once I stopped coughing for a few seconds...but quiet seconds.

When the Moomba parade was big it was shown on all the channels, but now you get bits and pieces. I was once in a Moomba parade many years ago. Interesting seeing it from the other side. Waving to people you don't know. Long walk for kids.

Its funny how the Libs are all for the business people just not concerned about the people that businesses employee. Bloody strange attitude. Give it five years and there won't be a manufacturing company left in the country. If people keep losing jobs at this rate the Libs will be out. The smart people would of left to work in countries like the USA or somewhere in Europe and we'll only have tourism left.

I'm sort of getting a flu shot, I'm leaving the place that has caused my last three bouts of illness. Told the new Dir I'm out of there. Had the desired impact. Looking forward to it.

Yep I know what you mean about Easter, those Easter eggs just keep growing every time I go shopping. They're breading like rabbits...I would of said Bilbies but they aren't known for their breeding...kinda part of the problem. They can't breed fast enough to keep the species going with all those predators. I like the solid nougat Easter egg from Darrell Lea, although these days it is a lost smaller. It used to last so long since you couldn't eat it in one go and it had a proper yellow coloured nougat in the centre. Yummo.

I think there's just too much on at the same time at the moment. Last weekend was Moomba, the Folkie, Golden Plains and a few other things - and this week you have the GP. People can't cope with that much excitement!

Its the Summer weather. They're trying to cram everything in before it turns cold. There seems to a fun run every weekend in Melbourne when there isn't any major sport around. The fun run bit is only for those participating for the rest of us who are trying to get through the city...its a fucking pain in the butt.

Its similar with cyclists in the city on workdays...when you hear its going to be sunny they all come out of their garages, when its cold and wet, not one fucking cyclist apart from those who didn't listen to the weather report. Obviously lycra doesn't do well in the wet. Should rain more often.

Well I've met a few cows, but never had to travel to the country...as for milking them...well I was lucking to get my hand back and my wallet.
