I'm sure this has been discussed a zillion times, but a quick search didn't turn up anything recent.

How many of you are turned on (or off) by tattoos on members of your preferred gender(s)? I know I personally am extremely turned on by women with a lot of ink, but maybe that's because I grew up in a punk/alt/goth environment? I also think tats look good on men, although it doesn't turn me on as much.

Thoughts? Pics? :)

Neutral

I don't care either way, it's their skin and if it makes them happy then I say go for it.

I have a couple of discreet, tasteful tats, and surprisingly, they have been deal breakers for a couple of men I dated. Which was a good thing, since anyone that narrow minded would not be a good fit for my lifestyle.

So you're meaning to tell me that tattoos are douchebag repellent? Why have I not gotten one?! :D

Seriously though, I think they can be sexy, depending what it is and the person's personality. I myself wouldn't get one because of the permanence of it.

There are well done tattoos, on both genders, and those that appreciate them; of both genders. There are poorly done tattoos, and tattoos done for the wrong reasons on both genders.

This is (still) America, as far as I know. If you like tattoos- get one. If you dont- dont. If you dont like a tattoo keep it to yourself, unless its racist, vulgar, in such poor taste you cant hold back, or they are a friend or close family member. If you like a tattoo you can be more vocal about it and complimentary, but you have no right to get the story.

If you like tattoos you can look at suicide girls, gods girls, burning angel or a host of others. If you dont like them, you dont have to.

Query Wins. When you win the internetz, all it says is that you're a sad, pathetic, man in real life.

Sadly, not even a tattoo is a dependable douchebag repellent. :)

I also don't have any because of my job (identifying marks are a no-no) but I think they're very sexy. Of course people can be very sexy without them as well. ;-)

I find tattoos attractive :) and no Unfortunately tattoos do not repel douches!

I find them decidedly unattractive on women. Not a deal breaker, but just not my cup of tea and it definitely factors into my attraction to a woman. To each his own though, everybody's different and like-minded people tend to find each other.

To each their own. I think of few choice pieces can be very sexy and expressive, although I've seen some amazingly beautiful women that I feel have gone way overboard with it and that is a big turn off.

Small tattoos are neither a turn-on or a turn-off for me, but large tattoos are a definite turn-on. A woman who has a full sleeve or a little bit showing around her neckline that looks like part of a much larger panel, always captures my imagination. I can't put my finger on where, exactly the attraction comes from... maybe the confidence and comfort with her body to do that?

If I ever went full mid-life crisis and had the need to sleep with someone inappropriately younger than me, the apple of my interests wouldn't be the stereotypical cheerleader type; it would be the sort of heavily-tattooed, pierced, chunky-glasses-wearing hipster girls who hang out at the neighbourhood coffee shop.

My preference is a few discreetly placed tattoos on a woman. They should be located where she can cover them for her day job and can reveal them when she wants to, either publicly or privately. Not so small that I have ask, what's the point? But not so large that they overwhelm her natural femininity. But either way, tattoos would not be a deal breaker for me. I loved my wife just as much before she got hers as I do afterward.

^^^^ This.

In my opinion, the human body is nature's most impressive work of art. No amount of ink will ever make it look better. I don't care for tattoos.

I love tats on the fairer sex and have a tattoo on three of four of my limbs.

Native, tarot and tribute tattoos are what I have and if I was with someone who couldn't handle it, like others have said, then it's good that we've both moved on.

I am a fan, last GF and current have them. Current GF has asked me to "ink" her, that is, to pick a design out and she will get it done for me. I cannot believe how hot that is for me.

I have 2 tats and as a guy, I love tatted women.

I have a major weakness for tatted redheads and brunettes. Even more so if the lady is sporting a streak of blue, green or purple hair.

Think suicide girl redhead. Does it for me every time.
