Thank you, and you as well, Thandi :) I'm sure I speak for all vets and vet nurses that we really can't hear this enough. The wonderful lady I spoke of came by today to pay her bill and pick her kitty's urn. She also brought us a MASSIVE box of chocolates xD I love good clients.

There was a point a couple of years ago that I was dealing with a lot of human death as well. I wasn't sure that I could keep going. It ended up being the reason I kept on going.
We in this field are lucky. We have the "luxury" of the choice to end the pain and suffering and let someone go with dignity....unlike a lot of places who do not afford that to human beings.
At the end, so many times looking into their eyes and knowing it was the right thing.....
Don't forget the CSRs, ACA's and the other behind the scene people in our field....we all care way too much.
I'm glad you had someone who gave back to you! :rose:

I'm not exactly sure what those acronyms stand for >_> But I did not mean to disclude ANYONE!! I only mentioned vets/nurses because that's who your average client interacts with :) Certainly, everyone is and should be appreciated!

Sorry, meant the receptionist and animal care attendants. We all feel it...hard.:rose:

LOL. I know all about being boring and happy. Funny how that works.

I will keep away from your feverish rot. Get better soon.

I am on the road until the end of April. Then home for a few days, then back on the road. And so it goes. Keroin 101.

I hope you have audiobooks. Or XM. Or earworms.

Feverish jungle rot sounds bad...

You know what it is? It's the larvae writhing in your wounds and the hot stench of putrid death that never leaves your nostrils. That's what it is.

I feel pretty good though, now.

Why can't unabashed honesty be made the super cool gotta have it cool thing for once?

Is there a way to monetize it?

I would say reality shows, but that's not honesty; it's rubbernecking.

There should be a way to make sure that coffee only smells as good as it tastes.

The coffee at the convenience store smells fantastic but tastes like crap.

Fantastic coffee smells fantastic, crappy coffee smells fantastic.

That is just not right.

oh xD That probably didn't occur to me because all those roles are filled by nurses at my clinic.

And no, we don't have that many nurses. We just underhire, overwork, and underpay them -_- I  my nurses who do everything.

This is soooooo true!

Thanks for stopping by, good to see you :)

Nice to see ya Keroin! :rose:

Thanks you guys! Hope life is treating you well and 2014 is behaving itself? :rose:

Audiobooks. LOTS AND LOTS OF AUDIOBOOKS!

Just tonight while I was making dinner I thought about posting up to see if anyone had heard from you. No foolin! I did.

I believe you. Thousands wouldn't, but I do! ;) Hope things are all good in your camp. :rose:

Last weekend the kid at the deli counter gave me a bit more than a pound of liverwurst when I'd asked for a quarter pound. I didn't actually notice until I was at the other end of the store so I kept it. Now, I've eaten so much liverwurst in the last few days that my farts sound like Sergeant Schulz defending himself to Colonel Klink.

The Boy has been spoiled at my house, because coffee gets made one cup at a time - pour over, French press, or Italian stove top style. Every time he has an opportunity to try a Keurig, like a silly boy... he does. And every time he says "This tastes like crap. Why does this taste like crap, when coffee at home tastes so awesome?" The whole concept of good coffee/ bad coffee never seems to stick with him.

Come on, Ikea. Since when do you carry duvet covers without the holes on top, and why?

there are holes on top of the duvet cover??!!!

In this part of the world, usually, yes. There are holes on the top corners so that you can put your hands inside the duvet cover and pull the duvet. Makes it so much easier to put it on.

oh my fucking god... *mind blown*

Daughter's 13th birthday today so I'm the invisible and silent chauffeur and chef. She's having a bunch of friends round tonight and I'm under pain of death if I do or say anything remotely embarrassing. And as I have no idea any more of what is considered by her to be embarrassing, it's an accident waiting to happen....

wtf. I feel...CHEATED. My family and I have owned MULTIPLE IKEA duvets and none of them had holes in the top!! God knows our present Target duvet doesn't...

God that'd be so much easier...if I was a decent hand at sewing (which for some reason my brain doesn't process like suturing skin) I'd put holes in this one...

Hey... I'm in the US and I've had a few duvet covers with the holes. Holes or no, I toss and turn so much the comforter is all jumbled inside after a couple nights anyway.

I put hair bands on the corners. My partner doubted, thinking that they would cause a problem...but you hardly even notice. It DRASTICALLY decreases the amount of jumbling!! Safetypins work too, but obviously hairties are safer and more comfortable if you happen to roll onto them.

Hmm. I've only bought three sets, and two had holes and this third doesn't. It's been a really long time since I've bought the ones with holes, so maybe things have changed since 2007.

I actually googled this, and based on some forum discussions, some sets have the holes and some don't. I'll have to start paying attention if I ever buy bedsheets from there again.

I used to pull the corners outside the holes (like bunny ears) hoping that would help. I just gave up and got old school comforters.
The covers are supposed to help keep the comforter clean but I ended up washing just as much. Dogs and cats make sure of that, they love fresh clean laundry.
