There are reporters and journalist that put their opinions aside and just report what happens. They are hard to find.

I've never seen a lack of tolerance that didn't include people being absolute dicks. Colleges (at least around here) are if anything too tolerant. When people showed up to boo Muslim speakers at the college they should have been escorted off the premises but they weren't in the name of "tolerance." If anything my experience has been that colleges fail to control their space as well as they should.

Note that Reporters Without Borders is concerned with entirely different things. You might say something about those.

The press freedom group was blunt in its explanation. It cited increased efforts to track down whistleblowers and the sources of leaks, mentioning Chelsea Manning and Edward Snowden in particular. It also condemned the Justice Department's surveillance of reporters, and the continued leak battle facing New York Times journalist James Risen.

Well, no. Trying to block leaks and watch reporters is reprehensible in its own way, but it's not the same as stifling opposing views, which Obama is not doing even to the extent W did, and is largely impossible here in any case; it's beyond the government's power. To stifle opposing views in America, you pretty much have to be a corporation; reporters answer to editors who answer to MBAs in suits who answer to other MBAs sitting on the interlocking directorates of conglomerates.
