Just posted my first book!

Since I get jumped on for trying to stop the flood of spam like this, I won't address other parts of the OP's post.

Actually you need to remove the entire post since it is little more than blantant spam.

If you are truly a fan of this site, then have some respect for it and follow the rules.

Of course, by definition, that forum link is for books by Lit. authors. This isn't really a service welcoming folks who don't contribute stories to Lit. When/if Lit. is known to be open to that, this forum will be flooded with spam.

The thread is titled, pointedly: "Literotica Authors and Their Books (for Literotica Authors Only)"

And the site can feel free to make the effort to police it.

They set the rules and it seems we are to enforce them along with explaining how a good portion of the site doesn't work.

I met it halfway and sent them to the right thread after that its the site's problem, not mine.

Fear not, I read that also, and did not post on the forum because of that. I really didn't mean to ruffle any feathers by posting on here. I am a long time fan of reading the stories on this site and I guess I just got a little over excited to have my own.

I will hold off on posting anything else until I am published on this site. Best wishes and happy reading to you all.

It's not just the forum that gets spammed.

I noticed a recent trend for some eBookers to post to Lit, a one-time pity offering or short series they have already milked for sales, and then insert "suggestions" at the end to view their profile for links to their other stories available elsewhere...always at a fee of course. One I remember even had the audacity to put actual hot links in multiple comments she made on her own stories.

Laurel seems to be pretty easy to get along with by allowing off-site promotion in your profile, in posting sig lines, and the AH Author's book thread; but some of these fucktwits just have to see how far they can push her.

I think we can all understand your excitement and don't mean to rain on your parade at all. You are more than welcome to post here and join in discussions, but it really helps; with this forum in particular; to have something on the site to point to.

After all...you wouldn't expect to stand inside a public library handing out flyers promoting a bookstore at the mall across town, would you? ;)

Fair enough, it was an honest mistake and I appreciate your understanding. Hopefully my submission will be up soon and I'll be able to contribute to the site.

Five to seven days since you are a new author to the site.

Don't click on the pending button as that may send it accidentally to the end of the line again.

This isn't an issue of policing the site for the owners. For those of us who have books in the marketplace and also post stories for free read at Literotica, being given the perk by the Web site to advertise our books in a few ways here is just that--a perk for contributing stories--and something worth protecting against those who want to promote their books here without contributing to the Web site. (If all else fails, try common sense.)

I post here for free and also to the paying market and I could care less if someone wants to post a link.

The funny thing is if a person just showed up and introduced themselves and started chatting away meanwhile with a sig link to his book, no one would say too much.

When they post and all they are doing is touting it that's spam.

There is nothing common about sense here.

Lovecraft: Thank you so much for posting that link. I have been looking and asking everyone for a while now. Thanks again. I have a link on my Lit. member page, and it used to work, but now it doesn't.
