Please don't disappear and do stay safe! What horrible weather so many of us have been getting. Hasn't been too bad where I am, just some snow and really cold. My daughter who is near NYC has been getting blasted with snow and ice for weeks now. I am so looking forward to Spring!

stay safe, annie... looks like the south west coast is due for the worst, but gusts of 70mph or so across most of the south/south east.

are you in any danger of flooding? with such water-logged ground, toppling trees is a hazard - thank goodness they're not fully-leaved or things would be far worse.

Been keeping a close eye on the weather forecasts and hoping it will miss us for the most part although it's still raining and starting to blow. There have been flood warnings in our area today and my back lawn now has a muddy pond in it which the dogs delight in galumphing through then spreading mucky footprints across my wooden floor!

been kicking parts of the south coast's arse, but not so awful where i am. had some pretty strong gusts, hail, rain, remarkable gaps of bright blue before lumpen clouds sweep across again. so all in all pretty lucky here at the moment. seems we have at least 3 more systems traveling across the water keen to meet us, though.
