Today approximately 6 million Americans got health insurance via the ACA

So much time is spent dealing with blaming former POTUS for the current conditions of the US. I don't see how after 5 years, Obama won't take responsibility for what he has done (during his terms)?

I guess I am tired of the fighting. I hope people who sign up for obamacare get the coverage they want. I will feel so sorry for these people if this does not turn out to be the holy grail it has been set up to be. :(

obama blows though cash like Bill Clinton does in a whore house

You're right to an extent...

But blowing the debt up sure as fuck didn't help the economy. Yes they may be different but they are connected, we can't just run in the red to infinity and beyond without some consequences.

Fuck it, if they can pin the police/prison nation on O while supporting if not downright worshiping Nixon/Reagan drug war policy and slobbing W's knob for their beloved PATRIOT act while talking out their ass about freedom and liberty.

I can pin it on W. Shit hit the fan on 43's watch... he's responsible, he made Katrina hit Nawlinz and he hates black people, everything while he while he was in office is his fucking fault....fuck them.

Former POTUS deserve the blame for the current conditions of the US. Unfortunately JB that's just how reality functions, always has and always will. Though blame sounds accusatory and it's not. Richard Nixon gave us the EPA so he and the Republicans who backed him are directly responsible for our skies not looking like China's and the countless lives that have been saved by lowering our smog from "thick enough to walk on" to "only a problem on odd days". Obama, even if he WERE a dictactor would still have to build upon the foundation of everybody who's come before him and he's not a dictator he's got a stubborn opposition party doing everything they can to fuck him.

Obamacare was never set up to be a Holy Grail. It was the best of a bad situation. UHC is the Holy Grail. This is the result of us attempting compromise with you and sadly not really learning the lesson, the lesson being you have absolutely no interest in coming together with us and negotiating. Only in dragging your feet so we can accomplish nothing.

Welcome to club welfare! Sit down and enjoy an obama special

I figured it was a good way to find out if I have cancer again, as well as get some other medical checkups. My monthly premium though is around $300, so it's not cheap, even with the subsidies. I won't have anything left over after living and healthcare expenses.

Oh sweetie, that sucks. Im so sorry you had to go through that once and pray that you dont havr cancer again!

A $300 a month health insurance policy is not cheap? For a cancer survivor?

*shaking head*

It's relative. Before the ACA, and if I could have afforded high risk health insurance, I would have been paying at least $900/month in premiums. Since I'm earning 1/3 of what I used to, $300 is extremely high. But it is a more realistic alternative. And with working more hours, I now qualify for subsides.

California: Only One-Third Who Lost Their Health Insurance Because of Obamacare Have Regained Coverage…

California

And California is being held up by the left as an Obamacare success story.

California has long been the flagship for Obamacare. It was targeted last fall by President Barack Obama’s own activist group, Organizing for Action, for precisely that reason: given the strength of their volunteer efforts, they hoped the state could be a symbol for the success of Obamacare as a whole.

That is one reason that there is so much loud cheering by the media’s left-wing commentators every time Covered California, the state’s Obamacare program, announces that it has achieved something, no matter how modest–or how exaggerated.

Yet many of Covered California’s “successes” are only relative to the failure of the program as a whole, and most of them are overblown. For example, on the day Obamacare enrollment started, Covered California reported that it had received 5 million web hits. In fact, however, it had received only 645,000–roughly 10% of what was initially reported. [...]

So roughly three times as many people have lost insurance as have gained it. That is what the left now defines as “success.” The rest of the country is presumably meant to take heart from the fact that California’s performance highlights the best-case scenario for Obamacare. And there are other problems–a boycott by Calfornia doctors, for one.

Busybody is using a Breitbart hit job to push his agenda.

He's still living in October 2013, back when the Obamacare website wasn't working well.

He's also comparing October 2013 initial estimates (i.e. "up to 900,000") with December actuals (~300,000) and breathlessly claims that *gasp* 600,000 done lost their policies!

Hard data isn't available, so Brietbart and busybody just make stuff up to fill in the gaps.

He didn't say that, busybody. He said something entirely different, and the National Review Online editorial writer translated that to "what he really meant to say was...".

Keep spinning

I know

He didn't say what he said

“I’m afraid that the millennials, if you will, are less likely to sign up. I think they feel more independent, I think they feel a little more invulnerable than prior generations,” Moran says. “But I don’t think we’re going to get enough young people signing up to make this bill work as it was intended to financially.”

Context is everything.

So tell us, suppose only 50% of the "invulnerable" under-35 demographic signs up?

Do you think the system will fall apart?

Do you think we'll somehow go back to the "old ways"?

Tell us, oh Nostradumbass. We'll wait right here.
