Hugs to you sweet Serene. I think calling her nephrologist makes a lot of sense. Um, just a thought, could she be starting her period early? It's just a wild hair idea. And I hate putting that out in the universe since she is dealing with so much. Strong, positive thoughts going to you and she.

I thought it was and it is not a lot of blood either but she has had UTIs before and never drops of blood when she peed.

But no, her doctor checked her out thoroughly and said it was not that. She weighs 51 pounds now and her chest has not started developing nor does she have hair at her pits. She is starting to get hair elsewhere though. Growing up so so fast.

She is feeling a bit better today though, thankfully.

Even keeping the temps above freezing would be nice! I'm not asking for a whole lot! Though I can't wait until it's warm enough for my preferred shorts and sandals. You two work on staying cool, excessive heat is just as dangerous as the extreme cold.

I'm doing ok with the cold, I'm wearing 3 layers and I don't stay outside very long. This has got to be one of the coldest winters on record for my part of the world. I can't imagine what it's like for places further north of me! :eek:

I think TT must have been blowing hard.

What was predicted as a 35C day has ended up 23C (74f) and rain - so some relief to cool the house. (and on a day the pool guy is here to fix the filter)

I hope you all take care in the cold......

When I told my daughter while waiting in the patient room that it might be her period, she gave me a head swivel and said, "I don't need none of THAT"

lol The nurse and I cracked up.

I am calling her nephrologist in the morning, just a heads up in case he wants to take a different course of action.

Today or tomorrow we will find out what the culture shows.

Then we will have a better idea of things.

Ok, to be fair it *is* dog ass cold, and I suppose the Buses could have a difficult time, however.. Wouldn't a delay have been more..*waves hand in the air* ...appropriate?

You are right, darling RA. ONLY in Texas would they close for that sort of weather. Now you have to deal with kids stuck in doors and I don't envy you that task. Be careful on the roads--those native Texans have NO CLUE. They are more dangerous.

I'm a good girl. ...I waited till now to leave. Needed to get the kiddos settled with their directives for the day.
And curl my hair, of course. Can't Forget that!!

At least it's jeans on Friday! :D

It's "freezing" rain... And they just don't have that down here. If its safer fit the kids, I'm all for it. But a delay would have worked father north..

Thank you daddy M. Bundling in lots of layers helps. The kiddo is managing quite well. I think she was thrilled about the day off.
