Today approximately 6 million Americans got health insurance via the ACA

It's always amazing that people I've never met in real life can tell me what my real anger is and who it's with. As far as Bush goes, he's history, but you know the old saying about history. To be more like Clinton? That's a good one. :)

the economy is in a sorry state, and will be for a very long time and this is OBAMA fault

obama is a jackass and his only value is to blame others....

these obama wars and obama welfare obamacare are way more expensive than the Bush wars (which looking back on things Bush made a big mistake on Iraq) especially after obama is going to hand Afghanistan back to the boys in skirts radical islamic

Yes, Really: Obamacare Enrollment Event Features Richard Simmons Dance-Off…

That’s one headline I never thought I’d write.

Via Red Alert:

I’m either on drugs, or the administration is this helplessly stupid. The Tell a Friend — Get Covered campaign, better described as “a tourist trap off Route 66,” began a six-hour live-streamed event Thursday afternoon that was advertised to “include stories, tips, helpful information and other details related to national health care options.” Really, it was as if the audio-visual club got wasted on malt liquor and hijacked public access television.

Get Covered, a partnership among state healthcare exchanges and the Obamacare missionary Enroll America, expertly fails to cater to young people. Its circus began Thursday with a dance-off between Richard Simmons and the contortionist Nathan Barnatt, overseen by the star of an Internet show whose premise is “drunk cooking.” How this is supposed to entice a 27 year old to pay $200 a month for health insurance, or even talk about it, is a question for the gods.

“What’s he doing?” Simmons exclaimed as Barnatt began to shake his body wildly. [...]

As Simmons opened and closed his legs and hip thrusted and rolled, he began to spell Obamacare buzzwords to the beat: ”C-O-V-E-R-E-D. Get covered for you and me, uh-huh.”

WaPo Fact Checker Slams Obama’s Claim 6 Million Americans Have Health Insurance Because of Obamacare…

They go so far as to warn reporters to stop using it.

Via WaPo:

Look closely at this tweet [seen above] by the @BarackObama account, maintained by the pro-Obama group Organizing for America. The 6 million figure comes from combining a figure of 2.1 million for people selecting a plan via state and federal exchanges, through December, and 3.9 million for Medicaid, through November. Thus the claim that “6 million Americans have already signed up for coverage thanks to health reform.”

There is much less to the Medicaid figure than meets the eye. (The exchange figure has been updated recently, to 2.2 million, but not the Medicaid figure.) Indeed, there has been vast confusion about what this figure means, especially in the news media. The Fact Checker cited the 3.9 million figure in a few recent columns, but prodded by a colleague as well as an interesting analysis by Sean Trende at Real Clear Politics, we decided to take a closer look.

Bottom line: This number tells you almost nothing about how the Affordable Care Act is affecting Medicaid enrollment. Reporters need to stop using it. [...]

The Pinocchio Test

Essentially, then, it is ridiculous to suggest, as the @BarackObama tweet does, that the people who have selected a health plan in the exchanges are in anyway equivalent to the 3.9 to 4.2 million who were deemed eligible for Medicaid.

Soon, CMS will release the Medicaid numbers for December. Presumably the new numbers will reveal as little about the impact of the Affordable Care Act as the 3.9 million figure. Reporters need to be very careful about using the new figure in any sentence that includes a reference to the new health-care law.

We’re awarding Three Pinocchios to everyone, including The Fact Checker, who improperly used this number or left the wrong impression about it.

Bill Clinton’s Favorite DC Restaurant Forced To Shut Down Its Friday Buffet…Because Of Obamacare…

He gets his just desserts…or not…

Via Daily Caller:

One of former President Bill Clinton’s favorite restaurants has eliminated its Friday buffet due to Obamacare.

“We regret we had to make this decision but unfortunately we face new expenses as a result of the Healthcare reform and the Friday Buffet, though wonderful, was not profitable and required extra staff which we can no longer sustain,” a notice at the Georgetown Italian restaurant’s website reads.

The Friday Lunch Buffet ended on Jan. 1.

Businesses across the country have reduced hours and limited hiring in order to meet the requirements of Obamacare and keep costs under control.

More Horrible News For Obamacare: Less Than One-Third Of Exchange Enrollees Were Previously Uninsured…

From bad to worse, to worse, to worse, to worse.

Via Forbes:

At the end of the day, for all of the rhetoric and promises about what Obamacare would achieve, the health law’s most ardent supporters have stuck to their guns because of one thing: coverage expansion. But new data suggests that Obamacare may fail even to achieve this goal. Instead of expanding coverage to those without it, Obamacare is replacing the pre-existing market for private insurance. Surveys from insurers and other industry players indicate that as few as 11 percent of those on Obamacare’s exchanges were previously uninsured. If these trends continue, the probability increases that Obamacare will eventually get repealed.

The latest reporting on this topic comes from Christopher Weaver and Anna Wilde Mathews of the Wall Street Journal. They cite several industry surveys on the coverage history of those signing up for insurance on the Obamacare exchanges. The first, from McKinsey & Co., indicates that “only 11 percent of consumers who bought new coverage under the law were previously uninsured.” McKinsey surveyed 4,563 individuals “thought to be eligible for the health-law marketplaces,” of which 389 had enrolled in exchange-based plans.

Of those that didn’t sign up for Obamacare-based coverage, 52 percent stated that “affordability” was their biggest complaint with the exchanges’ plan offerings. Only 30 percent cited “technical challenges in buying the plans.”

It's so funny seeing bisexual & "alternative sexualities" type folk (re: men) suddenly appearing from the fetish ghettos of Lit towing the knee-jerk conservative line when they're the freaks that would be put in the firing line by The Establishment first.

Then again, no matter who you are or who you fuck, if you're particularly well off and have been for most if not all of your life, you're likely apt to see those "lesser" people as "buyable" when giving them something "free." Because, you know, nobody buys you because nobody else possesses the means for critical thinking for self except those on your level.

Welp, that's privilege for ya!

No. At it's what it should be about is providing everybody with health care and yes at the hands of those who can afford it to the hands of those who cannot. However Obamacare is some odd hybrid system that as has been mentioned a lot will hardly effect most of you and according to CBO will bring down the deficit, you know, save money for people like you while giving votes to people who are buyable.

Woman Who Has Breast Cancer Has Postponed Her Treatment For Weeks After Losing Insurance, Doctors

Click on pic for video:

She was to have treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering under her old plan. Obviously, in Obama-speak, that was inferior.

Now, thanks to Obamacare, she has nothing.

Via Fox News:

A woman diagnosed with breast cancer, whose life-saving surgery has been postponed after she lost her doctors under ObamaCare, made a heartfelt plea Sunday to President Obama to amend the Affordable Care Act.

In an exclusive appearance on “Fox & Friends,” Josie Gracchi, who has been diagnosed with ductal-invasive carcinoma, looked into the camera and addressed Obama: “I would like my health care taken care of. I was insured. I think anyone who is going through a serious illness should have immediate responses. I shouldn’t have to wait months, weeks, to even be considered for surgery that I should have had weeks ago.”

Gracchi was forced to postpone her Jan. 3 biopsy and follow-up treatment at New York’s Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, the largest private cancer center in the world, when her insurance rolled over into a new plan that was part of an exchange under the Affordable Care Act

Anyone who changes insurance plans three days before major surgery should expect delays.

She changed it?

Really.....

Do ypu really have to resort to such outright lies?

no need to answer, we know
