Has anyone met anyone in real life tat they met on Lit and it turned out to be a big mistake? After a lengthy time in such a deep fantasy does real life meet up to the expectations?

Have met a few from Lit and all were good. As to real life meeting up with expectations, have to say going into our 12th year together (didn't meet here, but elsewhere online), we regularly thank the universe for each other.

I've met somewhere between 30 and 40 people from Lit in person and while a couple were a bit outside my usual taste in friends, I've enjoyed meeting all of them. It sounds like you're really asking if we've established hot and heavy online-only relationships with someone here and then met them in person. Done that, too, and was not disappointed. Not for a second.

Never from Lit, but most people here live far, far away from me. I've met a few people from Fetlife, some didn't work out, but there is only one I would really define as a mistake - a guy who spent two months calling me non-stop.

II haven't met anyone here, but I've actually met a few people from Lit Chat back when it used to work. Several from Fetlife and more than a dozen from OKcupid as well.

No truly bad meetings. Lots of great ones and some that were just ok. People who I had good chemistry with online tended to have good chemistry in person.

Let someone know you're going for a meeting, meet in a public place, don't give out your phone number or everyday email right away etc.

Nearly every person that I consider significant to me, I met either here on lit, or via fetlife. I've met a lot of people face-to-face from fetlife and several from lit.
