Wishing all a good day. ROGUES, do you know what you're supposed to do for a migraine. A warm, damp (not wet) towel across the forehead and eyes, NO sound or light if you can manage that. I used to get them (mine were extreme and real migraines - most people refer to a bad headache as a migraine and they usually aren't) and haven't for years, thankfully.

Out to dinner tonight for a friend's birthday. However, we're actually reversing - because I am cash poor (temporarily) he is paying tonight and when it's my birthday, I will pay for that.

Yep. It's from one of the waffle shops here in Korea. A waffle with fresh fruit and ice cream. I believe the one in my picture was a coffee waffle with vanilla and coffee ice creams, a banana, kiwi, strawberry, and mandarin orange.

Delicious.

Ok, I want some now!

Wel-cum to the lounge ANGIE. I am BrettJ, one of the hosts here.

The restaurant I will be going to this evening has 3 ROOMS of food. One is salads, one is entrees and the third is desserts. I usually skip eating before I go there and scarf a lot LOL

It looks like it, but I have seen food look really good that the taste didn't match it.

Not only has everything I have had in Korea been served looking exactly as it looks in the menu pictures, but it all has tasted as good as it looked or better.

I have tried many things for a migraine and hardly anything works. I have tried the way you have described and sometimes it works. Other times the only way that I can get rid of it is throwing up. I do know the difference between the two. Would love to go without having them.

angie!! :)

((( huggsss ))) :kiss::rose::):rose:

So good to see you back :) How have you been my love?
Busy with my daughter's cheerlearding and work.
How have you been?

I don't think I even been to a place that the food I have been served match the picture on the menu.

Yes, if you are physically ill, that is a true migraine. I have found a medication called Maxiram (not the correct spelling) works for me. Oddly, I am allergic to it (it makes me fidgety and agitated) so they have to give me another medication first (Bendadryl) to keep me calm.

I've lost my damned glasses - no idea what I have done with them.

I am going to have to look into that. Thank you for that. Hope you find your glasses.

There are also two drugs, one called imitrex and the other Relpax, that are for migraines. Often in the hospitals (at least in the US), they'll give a cocktail shot of Benadryl and imitrex as the Benadryl is supposed to enhance the uptake and effect of the imitrex.

One of the nice things about free Health Care, I don't have to worry about the costs of medications. IF I thought a migraine was coming and unavoidable, I can be at the hospital in about 6 minutes. It is a beeline through my building's parking lot and straight through another to theirs and over to Emergency. I did that walk a lot in August - however, it still creeps me out a bit at the moment.

Found the specs - I am debating talking to my doctor about another issue when I see him. I am getting very absent-minded. I am hoping it is nothing more.

Do you exercise? Physically as well as mentally (sudoku, puzzles, etc...)?

Also, do you ingest a lot of grains and wheats?

Exercising and cutting back on wheats/grains can help memory and brain functions. Not saying don't see a doctor, but if you're concerned there are other ways to help as well as medications.

My mental accuity is superb and I write, I am sharp when doing those tasks. I used to do a lot of crosswords, it's not things like that where I am lacking. It's more like things as I have just described, putting things somewhere and forgetting them.

Some grains and wheats, but I doubt that is it. Might be my meds - I take a lot of them. I don't exercise as much as I used to, although more in the past number of months (it will drop off over winter as I hate the cold)

Wow I will definitely look into these options as well.

Ah ok. I'm sorry to hear it, hopefully the experts have some solutions and/or suggestions.

What creeps you out over it?

That direct route is the route I took the night when I got the call from the hospital - the night my dad died.

I am so very sorry about that no wonder that creeps you out. It would me too.

I will eventually get over it, but it's still too recent. I still don't like coming home and seeing the apartment next to me. Nothing has been moved yet.
