This is why I left last time

Personally I don't care, but considering the amount of "bad feedback what do I do" threads is seems to be an issue and maybe the site should be open to it.

The site has already addressed it. Years ago. Authors have the ability to block anonymous comments, and have had that ability for at least as long as I've been here.

Unlike so many other things, it's also straightforward. It's under the heading "options" on the member page, and thus something almost anyone would reasonably check out. The page is short, to the point, and well documented with discussions of the pros and cons.

You can also delete comments with impunity. You can disable public comments on a story-by-story basis.

Any Lit author upset by comments has a wide range of options to deal with it. That being said, I don't begrudge anyone coming here venting about negative comments, even if they choose not to utilize the available controls.

They just can't blame it on the site "not doing enough" and maintain even the slightest shred of credibility.

Whatever Dark

You're just bent my campaign against your stupid wood stories cost you your winning streak this year.

I could give two shits about good and bad feedback, but apparently it bother people and the anon user issue still very much gets debated especially when it comes to contests.

people should have to get a user id to vote/comment it would clean up the site and especially the contests.

But not fix it, as some people will always have the means to cheat.

Isn't that right, oh top cheat of lit?

A_Little_Slow, meet Literotica's number one troll:

Poor little baby!

You shoulda stayed away - then at least we wouldn't have been bombarded by a tide of second rate stories during the latest theme contest.

In a month you've dumped about twenty offerings on the site in all sorts of different categories. Who do you think you are - SamuelX or ace?

Quite frankly my friend we already have enough "survivalists" and "cry babies" on the site.

TAKE A HIKE!

Doesn't he sound just like the anus-mouths who left the disparaging comments? Except he doesn't hide his identity; he wants to claim responsibility for driving you away. His goal is to drive away authors that are better than him (about 95% of us) or more prolific than him (about 99% of us). If you leave, crapheads like him will feel superior to you.

One comment for Mary_Aranxia about starting your own site - do you think trolls won't visit you?

We should all write that story and all post our versions at the same time. Let's see the cretins' apoplectic dance.

I see a new contest!

Go read the comments on this story, Until Death do us Part. The wife kills the husband and the trools go crazy until it is explained to them by other readers that the wife didn't cheat on him. He was abusive. :D

Actually, I disqualified my story before it even posted. If I'd allowed it to contend, I would have been in 3rd place, as best I can tell from the posted scores at the time of the contest closing.

That was my choice, and it served about half of the purpose for doing so. It failed to stop you and the other tin-foil crew from polluting the contest thread with your venomous rants. It succeeded in making you look like the complete tool you are for making screaming accusations that a disqualified story would win before the submissions period had even closed.

My winning streak is perfectly intact. I got a nice load of new reads, votes, favorites, and comments on my work, all attracted by that story. The contests to me aren't, and never have been about winning the prize. They're about participating and enjoying the benefits, and I've been saying that for long before I ever placed. You can dig back to about 2007 currently by doing a "threads started by" search on Og and checking the contest threads. Older ones will require Google-fu because of the search limits of the forum.

I'm about as up-front as anybody can be. You can review my numbers quarterly for the last three years. New November track now available!

I've got nothing to hide.

But that doesn't matter to you. It's much easier to just make something up and repeat it endlessly. Facts just get in the way of that, don't they, LC?

Kind of like the fact that you've won twice in a year in a "fixed" contest that's specifically targeting you. Coincidentally, that's as often as you can possibly win, since there's a six month ineligibility period.

Your problem with me is that I call you out on bullshit, and that you can't fathom how winning isn't a goal to me, because you're obsessed with it.

RejectReality: Do you enter all the stats manually, or do you have some sort of bot/web crawler to do it for you?
If you have a tool, do you care to share it?

Manually. It takes a couple of hours, which is why I only do it quarterly. The most time-consuming part is gathering the favorites numbers, because those are only available at the bottom of each story, while everything else is contained on your author stats page.

I've never bothered to research how to make a script do authentication ( logging in ) which would be necessary to gather the numbers with a tool. If I could be assed to do that, the rest of the script would be simple, and could do the work in a few minutes.

Wind them up and watch them go.

Some people are just way too easy around here.

Maybe someone needs to block out posts they don't like.

Yes, I know LC. Like any good, mindless hate campaign, if someone says something, they protest too much and have something to hide. If they don't say anything, it proves they're running from your "brilliance" and have something to hide.

LC: The site should do something! See, they don't care!

Me: They did do something, years ago. Here are the facts.

LC: He kicks puppies!

Yep, Lovecraft68 is getting crazier and crazier.

I think its because he was so fond here of ascerting the "we," and when he looked around and saw those wanting to be part of his "we," he was appalled.

I encourage you to do this. All of your other stories will suffer collateral damage, so you may want to use a new pseudonym.

The ultimate irritant would be a castration story, but I think that's banned by the site. How about some other mechanism that confirms the male protagonist's permanent but metaphorical emasculation?

To paraphrase HeyAll http://forum.literotica.com/showpost.php?p=50546905&postcount=11

- Write a story in the Loving Wives category where a wife has been cheating on her husband for years with men of different ethnic backgrounds and much better endowment/skill.

- Make the husband the leader of the Republican Party and a millionaire.

- Somehow, the husband gets aids because of his wife's cheating, and the wife is somehow immune and is disease free. She admits that she cheated, then he dies.

- The wife inherits all of his money and lives happily ever after.

you're on, I'll write a version of this story and post it under a pseudonym just to troll the readers of that category. :)
