Ah yeah we were there around 430ish it's there tradition thing these past few years. Damn 50's years is a long time congrats on your parents going that far :rose:

So we were there at the same time! I can't believe how busy they are, even at non-peak hours!

Yeah, I think I should throw them a big party. It's just hard to plan when everyone who would come is scattered all over the state. Have no idea where to plan it!

Yes we left around 5:45-6 we shopped downtown, and yeah I was very packed, I'm assuming it was because of the weather was pretty decent. Last year I was dead but was a little on the nippily side

Stopping in early as the new Walking Dead will be on soon! :catroar:

Have been enjoying the cool nights and warm sunny days this past week and getting lots of outdoor chores done. Important stuff like getting Halloween decorations up! :D

Hugs all around to my HI MI friends. Hope you all had a great week/weekend too!

Hello Kate! Glad you had a good weekend and got your decorations up. Today was doughnut day for me and my girlfriend. Look what we did!

That's a lot of dough...nuts! :D

So, weekend was surprisingly quiet. Was hoping to hear from another teacher to hang out, but to no avail. Maybe I should take the hint she's not that into me... :(

Oh well, it's laundry and pizza and getting ready for another week of school. :p

Hope everyone is well.

Hello fellow Michiganders!

It was a fun filled fall festival weekend in my city. My boy did the haunted house with fellow classmates. They were raising money for charity. It's all a part of this philanthropy club, which he belongs to, at his school. He really enjoys what they do. Next month, the club will be raking leaves for senior citizens.

Hope everyone had a great weekend and got to enjoy the fabulous weather! I know that I am very grateful it did not rain!

The doughnuts look real yummy! Those plain fry cakes are my favorite! They are the best kind to dunk in coffee!

Nothing yet, its still in short sale, so we shall see, I'll put an offer in, I'm persistent and the realtor she is gonna kill me or at least drive down here and strangle me.

Hey LW,

It happens, keep trying if not it wasn't meant to be, but your not alone there I've spent many days and nights like that , there is more than one fish in the sea tho ;)

Hi Nimby and LW!

Well we make treats for 13 people in 5 different households, so by the time they get divided up, it's just a nice amount. We did make more doughnuts this year than last, but last year it seemed like we didn't quite get enough so we wanted everyone to be satisfied. After all, it has to last a whole year!

It actually rained for part of my weekend here in the SWMI. I honestly love seeing rain fall from the window. It's very soothing and makes me want to curl up in a ball.

But I think my car's starting to act up as well. It's only 6 years only, but I think it's entering the "money pit" phase... :(

Now I feel like I'm all behind in my baking for the holidays! But, at least I've got all my holiday cards done and some holiday shopping started! After all, there are only 73 days left until Christmas!

I think it's a wonderful thing too! Builds their sense of doing for the community and being involved in a positive manner.

Thanks for the encouragement! I always pass along the positive comments to him. It gives him a sense of pride!

He should be proud, giving back to the community is huge not enough people do it, and its a good character builder
