What happened to Turniphead?

Just noticed that a comment he left on one of my stories now says "deleted user."
If he's gone, that's a real loss.
Anybody know anything?

Usually that means that the person requested their account deleted

In much rarer cases it means the site deleted their account, but I can't remember that happening without a request since I've been here.

Perhaps the author decided to begin selling their stories or got tired of them being stolen.

That's what I figure.
I'm just trying to find out if anyone might have been in touch with him and perhaps knew what was happening.
Hoping it's along the lines of Baron de Sade, where he's moved on to greener pastures.
