Fox News

New to Hannity? Wow, you haven't lived. LOL
I used to listen to him every afternoon on the way home from work because the station he was on had the best traffic coverage and it was every 5 minutes or so. He was hilarious. Yes, lots of shouting and and yelling over top of anyone who called in who disagreed with him.

Some of his things, calling Pat Robertson a "Great America" (one of his catch phrases) whenever he was on the show. The same Pat Robertson religious fanatic who said the US deserved the 911 attacks.
Another is constantly railing against actors who speak out on social or political issues, yet who did he have on his show bemoaning the evil of letting Terry Schaivo (the woman with no brain) die? Mel Gibson.

Hannity is the radio/TV version of an internet forum tough guy.

They talk so quickly too.

The dude's name is Weiner, too. Right now they're talking about... literally nothing. Dude asked why the guy came on the show, Weiner's like, "You asked me 50 times and I got tired of that shit." And he says this while the other guy is talking over him.

This show is fucked up. It's either kindergarteners or like... meth heads. Which are strangely similar groups in their behavior.

I had that on while the kid and I were doing her homework just to watch something without a plot while I waited for her to finish problems.

Weiner was acting like a dick.

That is probably not the best TV moment on which to judge all of FOX.

Weiner wanted to make Hannity look bad and in true Democrat fashion, he knew the only way to do that was to make both of them look bad.

We see that here every morning with people like Throb, Sean, zip, Adre, U_D, Frodo, Petey and dick...

So did Obama's preacher the Rev'rund Jeremiah Wright and it was demanded that we not hold that against the President. It was irrelevant...

He has Daryl Hanna on all the time and as wacko as she is, he is very courteous to her, never rude.

Ok, so I came over to cook for my grandparents tonight, and my grandpa is watching some Fox News show called "Hannity" (I'm prob spelling that wrong). I'm genuinely confused about how people watch this. The entire show is he has guests on, talks over them and yells at them. Then some lady comes on and talks over them and yells at them. It's a bi-gender screaming fit. It's exactly like being in a room full of kindergarteners. Exactly. I keep waiting for an adult to come in and teach them how to speak.

I think I'm missing something because I don't watch it readily, and I know that there are fans of the program on here; so I'm basically using this thread to ask what it is that I'm missing. I genuinely didn't get anything out of it- there was no way to absorb any kind of information because they're literally just screaming and talking over each other. It's like a normal talk show with a two drink minimum.

Fox doesn't have or allow adults. It's the conservative blat machine for the Republican party, and they tend to behave kindergarteners (or they're gone) as do their chosen party members.

Tell me then, why was Charles Krauthammer (Fox News contributor for those who criticize and have never watched) invited to the White House for a meeting with the President?

Same reason Juan Williams got the can at NPR?

“I used to think the left wing was the home of tolerance, open-mindedness, respect for all viewpoints…
But, now I’ve learned the truth the hard way.

The big lesson for me [working at NPR] was the intolerance of so-called liberals. I say intolerance because I grew up as a black Democrat in Brooklyn, N.Y., and always thought it was the Archie Bunker Republicans who practiced intolerance. My experience at NPR revealed to me how rigid liberals can be when their orthodoxy is challenged. I was the devil for simply raising questions, offering a different viewpoint, not shutting my mouth about the excesses of liberalism — a bad guy, a traitor to the cause.

Thread's over I guess. I'm just gonna let it peter out like the show. I had hoped I was somehow watching it wrong- like how you come into an animie in the middle and you have to have somebody explain it to you. But the only person who watches was Renny, and he wasn't helpful at all.

Apparently he changed it because it was over. So it doesn't fade out or do a close or anything. They just bitch at each other until they're out of time.

If I want to watch old people bitch at each other with no rhyme or reason I'd just hang out by the old man bench at Wal-Mart.

Ok, that was funny.

I am a regular viewer of the O'Reilly Factor, and he always has a balanced group of guests. Sometimes this has included Obama.

The only program of the 'talking head' variety I (sometimes) watch is Charlie Rose.

His guests are usually (not always) interesting and the Bloomberg line feed runs the whole time.

I sometimes catch the 'Washington Week in Review' too for political commentary.

The rest of the news, and related talking heads, are annoying and non-essential.

Were these two on the show?

Fox "News" leading the way in being tricked into reporting completely fake stories that are in no way racist as told be Stepford wives.

Cable news as a whole has not been real news for years. Anyone who thinks it is, is an idiot. Whether it is MSNBC or Fox you are equally ill informed.

Then there is a whole other type of stupid who get their news from Jon Stewart.

Jon Stewart makes a mockery of your talking points...I can see how the man frightens "independent thinkers" such as yourself.

Now, do a math trick for us!!

Incorrect. They've done studies to show that watching Fox is actually worse than watching nothing at all.

Well first I would ask do you listen to any conservatives. Frankly on a lot of issues he is too conservative for me. I thought it was better when he paired with Colmes.

But he unlike certain liberals he makes no claim not to be what he is.

I would take him over a liar like chris Mathews and Rachel Maddow who are in the tank for Obama or a terrorist supporter like amy Goodman

I wasn't aware of that. Yeah, I hold that against Obama for not cutting off all contact with Wright.
Luckily Wright doesn't have anywhere near a national following comparable to Pat Robertson and (thankfully dead) Jerry Falwell. Or even Sean Hannity.

Nobody listens to rush limbaugh or watches fox because they want accurate and informative content.

They use these as their means of being shown the path to salvation. Their "faith" in the unprovable is why they can listen to things that are completely factually false, and yet still believe them with all of their heart.

They're fanatics.

Actualy we listen to Fox and far better informed because unlike some of the other networks they will report on Obama many miscues.

Ooh, I made a list.

What's the thread about? Some television show?

Meanwhile, back here in the reality-based world...

STUDY: Watching Only Fox News Makes You Less Informed Than Watching No News At All

Of course the disingenuous dumb ass leaves out this part:

Media outlets such as Fox News and MSNBC have a negative impact on people’s current events knowledge

But even that is irrelevant because he is taking a study of 612 New Jerseyans as relevant, despite the fact it presents 0% statistical credibility.

But hey...It fits your sheep mentality so roll with it huh fat boy?
