Just knowing the gap isn't enough. Place limitations on it... 100 or 150x should be the highest amount anyone working with that company (even by proxy) can be paid.
If you're paying workers in china .17 an hour, the most you should be able to make is $17 an hour... something like that.
I think it would establish a healthy company indicator. "We make enough money to pay everybody proportionally well."
That's the point of a company. "We Make Money."
It shouldn't all go to the stockholders or the owner. That makes it unsustainable and abusive.
Ideally everybody makes enough money and the owner of the company owns one less island. So maybe they have four islands, not five.
I'm not saying they should be paid the same, the owner takes the risks and puts up the capital. But it shouldn't be insane, some of the proportions are 300x more.
