Was looking forward to Sunday night chat tonight and I 'll be here if anyone else shows up. The problem is that I won't be able to post a whole lot. Went to log on to my laptop and got a message that the "User profile failed logon" message. So my only Internet access is on my Kindle. It takes forever to type stuff on here.

Kate, the teenager is not taking any classes this semester. She is working and talking about moving out with some girlfriends. I have started collecting a small amount of rent so she can see what the impact is on her paycheck and her lifestyle. I hope she waits a little while til she's sure she can be successful.

I'm in Kalamazoo which is considered 'down in the corner' of Southwest Michigan like you are. And Niles is even more in the corner of the state than Kzoo is. I was not saying anything bad about our lovely corner of the state.

You know, it's not bad down here! I'm out in Buchanan, which is about 10 minutes west of Niles, and everyone's been very friendly! I'm even getting a loveseat and lounge chair for free!

Plus, YOU have one of the few awesome haunted houses in the state near you now!

I'm not a fan of haunted houses, but I might check it out. Anyone want to come with? I'll hold your hand if you get scared!

My youngest is pretty clueless how the 'real world' works..that food doesn't magically appear in the fridge and shampoo in the bathroom! LOL

Yeah it did, It was 90's Tuesday and Wednesday, and then boom dropped to 50's right away. At least you got to get one last good use out of it

I bate computer problems too. I used the kindle to look it up. I'm pretty sure it's not too hard to fix if you know what you're doing. Wish I did. Lol.

The girl knows a little about the world she just doesn't have the discipline she needs with her money. Her answer to a bad day is shopping or a new tattoo.

Google is your friend Nauti! It's how I fixed all my puter issues of the past. The tech sites are awesome. Hope you get it back up and running with an easy fix.

My daughter is working very few hours..and is only paid every two weeks. She NEVER has any money after the first weekend, much less for the next week and half! Impulsive!

The computer fix involves starting in safe mode, adding another User profile, copying and repairing the old one... Bob has a computer guy at work who's working on his laptop. I'll probably just ask him to take mine too.

The girl ran into the same problem when she started working. She started giving me half her Check to hold for the 2 nd week. But this week she went and opened a checking account all on her own. Even told them she wanted her debit card to reject if she didn't have the money.

I need help, please. My friend and I are going to be staying overnight in that area on October 5, for our birthday. This year we decided to do a haunted house and a corn maze. We haven't decided if we are going to do martinis before or after.

So I was wondering, if anyone could let me know where a really good haunted house and corn maze are located. But, most of all, where can we get really good martinis!

That's ShortKake's neck of the woods, so she may have some suggestions closer. We like the corn maze at Crane Orchards - and they also offer a haunted corn maze if you'd be into that. They also have apple picking, hayrides, a restaurant, and the best apple cider donuts. But they're located in Fennville, a bit northwest of Kalamazoo. I have zero recommendations for where you can get a good martini though. I don't believe I've ever had one and wouldn't know the difference.

Best we have in Kzoo is 'Phobia House', highly rated though we've never been. Tend to do more 'small town' stuff for Halloween.

Don't know about martinis, but Kalamazoo has award winning 'Bell's Brewery', though 'Oberon' summer season is over.

Nauti, that Crane's Orchard sounds like lots of fun! You get to see any of the ArtPrize?


LW, it was the St. Joseph County Grange fair in Centerville, which ended yesterday (sorry). The most awesome county fair ever!


We got to go twice, and did all the stuff. Rode the rides, won a stuffed bear, saw all the 4-H projects, ate wonderfully bad for you fair food, and got to see all the farm animals.
The 'Miracle of Life' tent had hours old lambs, calves, chicks and piglets!
At the 'exotic petting zoo' we got to hold 'Max' the 110 lb Burmese Python!

We had lots of fun, but made for a busy week and weekend. Up early for work has left me tired! Stopping in a bit early unsure how long I can stay awake! *yawn*
