Feeds that were open as of around 9PM last night have now suddenly become protected since Reci pointed it out. Of course there's nothing at all nefarious going on there huh?

people lock their feeds for all sorts of reasons, not least of which that many use twitter to post a lot of personal stuff. if feeds were protected - and i highly doubt they were - it's far more likely they don't want random stalker types (hi!) looking them up than it is that they're afraid of saying what they think.

bg23 just can't see what we see that if we use certain search terms that worked yesterday, they're blocked now. Because she has permission she wouldn't notice a change. That's kind of a technical nobrainer.

Only a few people came out of that pack to say in any way that what you were doing was unfair in the extreme.

It was, and they didn't tell me, but they didn't feel good about it enough so that I could tie in their concern along with complaints about KRC's twitter feed to this mess and finally realizing - "OH!" That's what people were talking about when they wanted me to name mean girls.

I only named KRC and Disgustipated and BOY did I not get it!

No actually, I was reading her twitter feed just last night, now its's protected, as are a couple more.

What's funny is to compare those side conversations to the mob mentality that goes on around here at times. Like the KRC (an "A" lister until recently for obvious reasons) thread.

Just a little side note to the rest on their high horses, those of you not on the "A" list, you're probably being talked about to some extent as well. Not that you would know, at least not now that most of the participants are running silent on twitter.

The Twitter thing amused and saddened me mostly because I get the picture of you guys in my head, staying up all night trying to find something to "get back at those evil twits" with. Most of the Lit people have names matching their screennames here, when your original post came out several people were talking about it, trying to decide if they read it correctly or not. Then it got into territories of "her post and the way she's laughing about it really hurt" and then sometimes it spilled onto this screen.
