I'll look at that and see if I can mine any data out of it. I wasn't aware that it had gone wonky.

EDIT: It's exactly the same as the all-time list for the category. That alone could help narrow down the issue.

Oh, well, you have a point that might make it easier to fix.

Something else I've caught on to is that if you look at the incest category and it shows new stories then random, then top stories, that top list seems newer than the one you see if you go directly to top lists.

I had a few of my SWB chapters show up on the incest page, but never on the other.

They also only have the bare minimum to qualify so the second they show up they are bombed out.

makes me think the trolls are looking at that page more than clicking directly on the top list.

So, the "hall of fame" on the hubs is working properly. That's something else that could help.

That's newer code, I believe, and may be more compatible with the infrastructure upgrades than what's on the toplist pages. Could be a way to do some comparisons as well.

I'm seeing them both at 5.0 with 12 votes on the 12 month. They wouldn't show up on the all-time toplist at all, because the all-time list has a minimum number of votes ( likely 100 ) before a story will appear there.

On the 12 month list there are chapters still at the old score and I was wondering why they weren't corrected. If it was corrected, it would be number 1 on the 12 month list. I stopped griping about 1 bombs, because it only shows up on my list, not the top lists, that it's been corrected.

Crap dude, I am a simpleton. I haven't experienced any of these defuncts, but I just think that's because I don't utilize all those features on the site all the time. I just sorta post stories and read others and vote and comment.

Same here. I check the top list for the non-erotic category every so often to see if I've moved at all. But I don't remember numbers from one time to the next. Although, maybe I should look more often, since I'm back at #2.

If any of them are one or two away from equal or exceeding their previous totals, a couple of experimental 5-bombs could very well prove or disprove this theory. I have no qualms about 5 voting you in the name of science if it's only one away *laugh*

Yes, all of them have gone up in score since then. I counted 6 chs. with a score of 5, 2 don't have enough votes (under 10). The ones that are over 10, we altered long before they hit 10 votes, yet no change in the 12 month list. I'm more than happy with the voting, it blows me away actually, but I'm just confused by the lists and how they work.

To just sort of reinforce incest is more messed up than most.

I have a top 10 all time in Mature and one in Group. I've noticed that when those scores change on my home page they update pretty quickly on the top lists.

One thing I wonder-and just tossing this out there-is I have always felt that the incest top list seems to be the most heavily targeted and I know there is an author there who is "scouries like" in his inflated numbers and either he or his fan base does some serious sniping.

I wonder if all that activity affects things.

It looks like it's 100 on Celebs. Celeb authors could lobby to have it lowered, because they aren't all 100 minimum. That just seems to be the baseline set when they were created. I know the Chain Stories category has a much lower bar, which appears to be 30.

I suppose an extra large amount of sniping, cheerleader voting, and sweeps to correct same could cause some sort of overflow error that could break the toplist, but I would suspect that we'd see the same sort of thing in LW if that was the case.

No shit. It's been hard to get a following, but it's growing slowly, but surely. I get roughly 1 vote for every 100 views at best. I have to be there because of the content, but I'm seeing my chs. getting billboarded more often in Celebs and Top stories.
I'm having a blast writing it, it's a great subject to write about. Not my usual medium, but something worth getting in to.
Blood of the Clans is in the same boat in Novels and Novellas, with nothing but the title and descriptions to go on. It's gaining a following too, so I'll plug away at them and see where they go.

this list hasn't been updated in over a year. Vote totals haven't changed. Which has made updating the MOST VOTES LIST problematical. MANU was advised over 6 months ago.

"Threads" now has thousands more votes and both it and paco's are now over 10,000 votes and in the "Diamond" category..​

It's 100 for How-To as well, with a total of 850 stories in the category, vs over 8K in Celebrities. Talk about a tough list to break into...

Seems to be 100 for Humor & Satire, as well Erotic Horror, two more very small categories, each with less than 2500 entries. It's kind of sad that I have two stories on the first page of the Humor and Satire top list, with scores of 4.3 and 4.2. Only because I have the necessary number of votes.
