we can only make those for ourselves using our own criteria and personalities. whilst some here would, no doubt, exploit the situation for sympathy, revenge, whatever, pink has displayed none of those characteristics. her responses have been understated, and dignified. i'd go so far as to say it's her humility and direct honesty that makes them so. she could have stirred the plot, thrown bloody great gobbets of prime gossip onto the floor to be tussled over - but she has not.

Pink did the right thing - she should not have kept it to herself given the circumstance. The utter silence of KRC speaks to the truth of Pink's words.

If there is any part of what Chnops and KS are saying that I agree with, it is that some part of it was to have KRC get his comeuppance. And there is nothing wrong with that.

I had to think about this one. First, Pink had every right to make the thread, and to feel hurt and lied to. No question there. It would have been unthinkable for her not to.

But I don't think (completely my opinion) that KS is wrong in noticing that framing the thread as something magnanimous is at least partially a disingenuity. (Sorry for the quadruple negative there.) It's not really to protect, deep down, or at least not only so. It's to reveal. It's at least in part a measure of revenge. I don't think there's anything wrong with that, so it's not meant as a swipe. I just don't find it constructive to claim it's not there (possibly exactly because I don't think it's a negative).

I said the same thing with KK--"but he's bonding over rape stories with young women! I HAD to tell people!"--but really, it was a takedown thread pure and simple. The other thing may have been there. But the thread itself existed as a takedown. The part of it that is about the takedown is about the taker-downer, not some rationalizable greater good. Again, that's not meant to criticize, only to say I think it's in there.

I was "friends" with KRC here on Lit, and found her (the character) to be great TV and lots of fun to post with. I'll be bummed if she's not behind a big, practical-joke good-bye to Lit. As I've said, what was cool to me about her as a female, is douchey and creepy as a male. But that's not why I'm agreeing with Killswitch here, or at least Ii don't think it is. I just think he's not completely wrong, whether or not he's partially so--and that doesn't reflect negatively on Pink at all in my mind.

You did everything right. She/he may have been nice to you, so you ignored how morally rephrensible she was before this. But she was. Sonny is just as bad as she/he was so of course he is taking the wrong side of the coin.

Or all is as it was, and Paul is not Mr KRC, and it's just KRC using Pink to make her break and making the rest up.
