This is probably the most recent picture of me that I have online right now.

I decided that I wanted a kilt and commissioned my mother to make one for me. I provided the fabric and certain details, and five months later I had this. It's commonly referred to as a "cargo kilt" because of the pockets on the sides, and the box pleats differentiate it from something more traditional, but I love the way it looks and especially the way it feels ... or doesn't feel, as the case may be. It's great to walk around in a kilt and I guarantee this will not be the only one I own in my life.

Yeah, I posted a picture on my thread of me layed out in my underwear and smiling. Everyone went crazy over the smile. It's because there is so much communicated in facial expressions - especailly around the mouth and eyes... So when you make eye contact and smile, there is an illusion of intimacy, connection, personalization... it can be quite powerful. When you smirked my gut reaction was, "shit! he knows I'm watching him!" and I covered my face. It was a great smirk.

This is why I force my models to look directly into the lens when I make their portrait. Too many photographers have this thing where they want the model to look up and over the lens, like they're supposed to be watching some bird in the air or day dreaming or some shit. All I know is it detracts from the intimacy of the photo. Nothing beats a direct look into someone's eyes to make you think you're seeing the "real them."

Following up on this, I make exceptions in cases where I have two people who can make eye contact with each other.

Or, sometimes, I can have just one of the models look at the camera. In this case, I think it gives the image a voyeuristic feel. Like I've been caught seeing something I shouldn't have seen ... and she doesn't mind. :)

This was an early attempt at editing several clips into a cohesive video. I would set the camcorder in a tripod or table and shoot a few seconds of video from one angle, then move everything around and shoot a few seconds from another angle. Eventually, I had all the cuts complete and had only to trim them and piece them together in proper order. The result is this masturbation video:

I just love a good kilt!!! Thank you!!! :rose:

My girlfriend and I were walking through the Ocala downtown area a few weeks back when another woman, walking alone, crossed the street in the middle of the block to say, "I just wanted to tell you that your man is sexy as hell, but I would say his kilt is far too long! It needs to show off more leg!" My proud girlfriend replied, "Oh, trust me; if it were any shorter, he'd get arrested for indecent exposure." :)

i love all your shots..the nudity, the nature, the people. Beautiful! \you have an excellent eye for photography.

And i like your self pics as well!!! B&w always makes photos seem more raw somehow

Thank you very much! As a professional photographer, I've gone completely to B&W prints. I suppose there might be certain occasions when I'll need to print in color for a client, but for the most part, when someone asks me to take their picture, I make sure they know that I will be producing final images in black and white. So far, everyone has been cool with that (but I guess they wouldn't ask me to take their picture if they weren't already familiar with my work and style).

By the way, I'm flattered that you would include a visit to my thread on your first day back at Lit. (I always stalk my fans.) :)

If anyone is interested in seeing what I do for fun, here's a video I made a few years ago in a cave nearby. The monthly caving adventure is sponsored by the city parks and recreation department.

Two people found the close quarters to be a bit intimidating and had to leave with one of the guides after about twenty minutes. I think you can tell that I didn't have a problem crawling into tight spaces....

It's not like I'm not already flashing people all the time. A more traditional kilt design wraps around the sides of the wearer and is thus more "forgiving" of windy weather or sitting in a chair with both hands full of food and drinks. Mine tends to separate where the aprons overlap and I have a tendency to show a little more leg (and other bits) than might be appropriate. No one seems to mind, though.

Fine by me, I don't mind at all!!

I should probably work on a video of me wearing the kilt while hiking through the woods or something. Some activity that requires lots of leg lifting.
