FAWC You, Two!

Would it change anything? :p

No. ;)

Honestly, I'm more interested in the discussion and guessing than the voting, so seeing as we have only three days to do this, I'm not complaining at all.

This was my essential feeling on the matter. There was such a spirited round of guessing, joking, critiquing and so on after voting was closed on the first FAWC that I figured, "why wait another day?"

You're no fun at all!

Oh, yes I am, and you know it. :p

Based on location, no doubt. I've been to Sydney too (and have written stories based there too). But, no doubt you're right.

Well, location played a part in it, yes. So did a couple of other things. :)

Oh, come on. Make some serious guesses!

1. I'll peg PennLady for "Be Awesome" (using a Zamboni as the vehicle is the awesome part--more so than repeating the word like 50 times). Maybe someone is feeding us a hockey puck on that, though.

2. I wrote the one I wrote.

There, that's two more.

I will only say that that is an interesting guess. ;)

I also liked the choice of Zamboni. That was a very inspired variation of the ingredient.

OMG, I am desperately reading to try to finish them up and guess them.

Aren't you going to guess mine? C'mon, surely you can spot the hidden condoms peeking out the drawer of the very English bedside table once used by the Duke of Wellington (basket word: antiquated).

Antiquated?

I don't think that was one of the ingredients . . . .

The condoms remained in the drawer? -2 stars.

Alright, I've read them all, and I have to confess, I have no idea who wrote what, and I've read pretty much everyone's work.

I must be really lousy at this.

I think I'm going to have to read more samples, before I have a clue. It's gonna be a looong night.

It's much more fun if you make guesses based on 'ignorance, arrogance, sport and animal'. Last time JackLuis guessed one story to be dampy's and she hadn't entered one!
:nana:

I think it's been established that guessing a particular author isn't as simple as it seems, regardless of what some of the comments left on the stories may suggest. The reality is that people don't pay too much attention to a writer's particular choice of word selection, punctuation, or scene progression. What they remember are far more general things such as the development of the story, and a few interesting pieces of prose here and there.

I want to know which one!!!

Oh dear, I forget now! Maybe it was Ungueherer because of the octopus. There was someone-else he pinged for a story who hadn't entered, too, LOL.

The best fun was trying to guess the psycho lesbian story's author. We were all like,, not wanting to insult the women by saying we thought they were that 'mentally challenged' as to write something that weird but having to make a guess. :D

Haha! You just called sr mentally challenged. :p

Oh he will come up with something good to call me back, he is a seasoned warrior ;). And he was writing it with his tongue firmly in his cheek - or a cheek anyway <snerk>.

You didn't like the memoir about my crazy sisters?

No extra points for fucking in the drawer--or for finding condoms that peeked?

Yeah, I should get 6 points for managing to draw condoms in!

That was so naughty of you! It was the funniest thing. I remember that moment, when I suddenly went: Hang on a minute ... I've been had! :D:D:D

I have absolutely no idea who write what except for my own and if i could palm that of anyone else i would , lol.

So through my psychic powers and amazing deductive reason (learned through many hours of watching CSI in four different cities) and more than a little insanity here is my list of guesses...

sr71plt - Spilling the seed
slyc_willie (2) Absolute pitch, An inquiry
MSTarot (2) Stranger in the park, My old babysitter
TE999 – The golden Ring
PennLady – Be awesome
alwayswantedto – An extra ticket
MistressLynn - A chance at passion
NaokoSmith – Plaza Del Toros
Saxon_Hart – Arboreal Armour
Fawcker - Sydney surprise
mariewriter – 7.48pm Wednesday
patientlee – Friday night blues
damppanties - Virtuoso
Lovecraft68 - Karma
TxTallTales – We Gotta stop mom!

Did I say psychic? I mean't psychotic... Though seeing the voting closed I had to quickly read the last two before deciding in an eenie meenie miny mo fashion.

xelliebabex I think you should have a special prize (perhaps a wooden Trojan dancing banana?) for being so brave and guessing first.

I want to follow your lead, except that I only read half the stories so far. I might post my guesses this far a bit later today when I have had a chance to read a couple more.

With LIT authors its hard to guess, with the legends its easy.

I can only guess at two stories, and more because of stuff I read in the forums than the stories themselves. Unfortunately I read so little on the site I couldn't begin to guess the genres people usually write in, let alone their styles.

So I will go with lovecraft68 for "Karma," and TxTallTales for "We Gotta Stop Mom!"

I may make more guesses later, but they will be the equivalent of throwing darts at a list. :)
