Which is true, I know down here it was super hot, and I guess nothing happened on friday weather wise
 
Speaking of farmers.... how's everyone's garden growing? I don't think we're going to get corn again this year. No matter how much we water it's just not growing. We got a bunch of raspberries, green beans, a green pepper and some broccoli so far. And one of our peach trees has red peaches on it! The other one still has small green peaches. I don't understand????

Well my watermelons, muskmellons, and acorn squashes are growing really good and crazy. My strawberries are pretty much done, but starting to get a patch. Potato's, and when I was gone my raspberry bush fell over, gotta play with it, The corn has grown, did it from seeds still hasn't produced any corn yet, but its pretty close. Brocolli and Cauliflower died tho. I also have three little bunches of grapes.

We got nailed Friday in the middle of the night, 60 mph winds that flattened some corn and took down limbs over here! :eek:

My tomatoes are overtaking everything, smothering my zucchini and peppers! Lots of green ones but no ripe ones yet...

I think the lack of having a real spring affects the growing of crops. We keep staying cool well into May, and then all of a sudden summer is on us.

Early hello for Sunday Night Chat!
I was just informed we have company on the way over, and if it's like last time they'll be staying longer than expected! :rolleyes:

Was 21st birthday weekend for my oldest and sadly wasn't feeling very well with a sore throat. So didn't go out for her first legal drink, but we ordered Chinese carry-out instead. :)
Today took her to Firekeepers to play her first penny slot machines. :cool: Didn't win big, but still had fun.

Will see my HI MI friends later if our guests leave in a timely fashion.
Hope everyone had a good, if chilly, weekend. :heart:

Congratulations and happy birthday to your daughter! :rose::rose: Chinese food is sometimes better than a cocktail so if you couldn't go for one, the other seems like a fine substitute.

Was too cold to enjoy the pool this weekend, but it sure was nice sleeping weather.

I agree, it was a great time to catch up on some missing sleep.
 
Here early, Since there's now pre-season football on the TV that I'm not really paying attention to, while Shark Week stuff records! :D

Well I can't speak for everybody, but I'm well, and spent most of the day naked, to boot! :devil:

Miss seeing you and Cog here on Sunday nights, hopefully we'll have a big Sunday night chat when everyone can join soon! :)

My weekend was good. Bob and I went to see Red 2 tonight. Really liked it. Great blend of action and comedy.
 
Not a fan of horror flicks. We had been planning on seeing Red 2, since we really liked the first one. Lucked out that it was the Sunday Radio Discount movie this week- tickets for just 4 bucks!

Haven't got quite enough privacy for skinny dipping during the day, but I threw a few blankets over the deck railing and did a little reading and nude sunbathing on the deck. Once the sun got too hot I came in, but didn't bother getting dressed until we needed to get ready to go to the movie.
