Literotica's 250 Most Favored Author List

Presently, I'm #51 on Literotica's most favored author's list. When writing under BostonFictionWriter, I was as high as #25. I'm clawing my way back up the list writing under my real name, SusanJillParker.

Silkstockinglover is #1 with Goldeniangel, Many Feathers, rgjohn, alwayswantedto, and Tx Tall Tales. Then, there's Scouries, God help us, the scourge of Literotica.

Rolling in at #8 is Slickman who only posted one story in 2012. At #9 is Ahabscribe with only 1 story posted in 2013. Number 10 is JazCullen with BarondeSade at #11. Perhaps BarondeSade removed all of his stories but there is only one story posted. As far as I'm concerned, if a writer removes their stories then they should be removed from Literotica' top 250 favored author list.

At number 12 is Salena Kitt. Hmm, strangely enough the last time she submitted a story or a poem was back in 2010. She should be removed from the list too.

Number 13 is TryAnything with youbadboy at #14 who only has one story posted for 2013. Number 15 is Nikki 2021 with no stories in 2012 and only one story in 2013.

Elianna at #16 and who hasn't posted a story since 2009 should be removed from the list too. Walterio is at #17 and DoctorWolf who has no stories posted for 2013is #18. Samslam is at #19 with no submissions for 2013 and Daniellekitten rounds out the top 20 at #20. Having pulled all of her stories from the site once, she hasn't submitted a story since 2012. Rumor has it she died. If she is dead, may she rest in peace. If she is dead, she should be removed from the list.

If we remove those authors who no longer write for Literotica and those authors who have left this world for another, I'd be higher up on the 250 list. I'm just saying, writing, actually.

The list does change, albeit slowly. Some names that were at the top are slowly drifting downward, as am I. Others have risen rapidly to the top, including Goldeniangel once she started writing again.

If favorites were date-stamped when they were recorded the site could implement something like they do in the Top Lists so you could see who has been favorited the most in the last, say, month, year, five years, or all time. You might feature higher in one of those sublists.

I suspect that if all the dead poets were removed, along with anyone who hasn't posted a story in more than a year, I'd be #25 on the list. Instead, I'm relegated to feeding at the bottom at #51.

Let me ask you a question. Don't you find it strange that an author who's not even in the top 75 on the list has more than 10 contest wins? Weird.

A lot of people who favorite someone end up leaving the site, but keep their account so the favs stay.

Others bookmark someone and either read everything or just a few, but have so many favs they do not check back.

But now that he has only one story here I'm sure he will begin "losing ground" on the list as he will get fewer new favs.

But the problem for you is the name changes. If you stayed under one name you would be way up the list.

Stick with one name and you'll get there. That's why I never bothered trying something under another name, every story gets you more favs.

Only five, all MANU AWARD winners, have stood the test of time...

the Baron had actually risen to #2 on the list until he pulled all his stories at which point he disappeared from the list. But when he resubmitted one his "favorite" totals reappeared. Their were hiding in the LITEROTICA computers since he'd never cancelled his account.

Quoted for truth, and I have no skin in the game as I don't have readership to make the list. This is a reader-determined list and should be left that way. I can see value in separate lists for most favorites (stories and authors) in past month, year, etc. but that is a different question.
