Justice for Trayvon??

Three basic facts keep coming to mind. These are the only facts that really matter.

1. The man with the gun chose to pursue an unarmed teenager who had done nothing wrong.

2. The man with the gun continued to pursue and then initiated a confrontation with the teenager AFTER he was advised not to by the authorities.

3. As a result of that confrontation, the man with the gun shot the teenager to death.

Sorry, bozo:

Your #2, "then initiated a confrontation with the teenager", isn't a fact at all, and thus...

...your #3, since it totally depends on your completely subjective #2, cannot be factual at all, either.

But hey, don't fret tho..

...1 out of 3 ain't too bad for a wannabe like you.

1 isn't very accurate either.
How about: The neighborhood watch captain, aware of a series of break-ins in the area, followed a man he considered to be a suspicious character. This was after he called a non-emergency number to report the suspicious character.

Two points:

1. Will you ever learn how to employ the quote function correctly?

and

2. You're an amateur...

...leave the purely subjective crap to pros like UD.

Thanx.

...
There is no evidence that shows Martin beat Zimmerman's head into the pavement. Zimmerman had plenty of opportunities to retreat.

Huh? There was a witness said he saw Martin over Zimmerman punching him. What we don't know is who attacked who first.

Two counterpoints:

When I quote another person or persons, I make the progression of posts as easy to follow as I an.

I try to be objective, NOT subjective. When I post something, it is either factual, my honest opinion, or something being said strictly in jest. The first is usually supported by statistics or other proof, such as citing the record of a 911 call or the testimony of an expert.

I'm really glad that this thread has been going steadily for over a week now (well, really, sixteen months). I think the conversation has really progressed since the verdict. We've all learned a lot; the tone and quality of discussion in this thread have really improved. Good work, everyone! We did it!

Off topic a bit, but I recently asked you in regard to “fighting words” if there is anything that anyone could say to you about which you would feel justified in assault?

I didn't see your answer, did you respond and I failed to see?

Probably not. I'm too old for such things, and I tend to believe in the adage about sticks and stones.

I have a gun. Do as I say or else.

If I use those words, in that order, would you comply with me, attack or run and remember it's dark, raining and your a little lost and I've been pursuing you for sometime.

(Note: I'm not saying that is what happened, I'm just wondering if you're too old to defend yourself.)

It's beautiful, innit? I want to see it go for another week and evolve the derp further!

You're just saying that because Martin was black.

If someone verbally assaulted and the woman you were with?

Are you a mahatma?

First, this has never happened to me and I doubt that it ever will. Second, what does it have to do with this thread, since nothing has ever been said by anybody about conversation between TM and Z except for the threat by the former to kill the latter. Third, having never been to India, I could never be a mahatma.

the wikipedia entry on this event is already a quivering stockholm syndrome unto itself....

it's worth taking a daily snapshot study of...

i mean, you can...
or somebody should.

i'm moving on...

they're smash mobbing and shit
(ostensibly over this) in a mall near you...
like... within the next few meme cycles...

Yes, FOX.....

Young black men commit homicides at a rate 10 times greater than whites
and Hispanics combined.

The civil rights industry looks the other way or makes excuses. They blame guns, poor education, lack of jobs, rarely do they define the problem accurately so here it is the reason there is so much violence and chaos in the black precincts is the disintegration of the african-american family.

Right now about 73% of all black babies are born out of wedlock that drives poverty and the lack of involved fathers leads to young boys growing up resentful and unsupervised.

When was the last time you saw a public service ad telling young black girls to avoid becoming pregnant?

The sad truth is that from the president on down, our leadership has no clue, no
clue at all about how to solve problems within the black community.
And many are frightened to even broach the issue.

Let the bloviating begin. :)
