FAWC You, Two!

7000 words in, it's getting complicated. Could be very long. I'm assuming these have to be entered as a single story, no chapters.

Oops is that giving too much information away?

Yes, all stories stand alone.

You might have given too much information away, but I doubt yours will be the only one with multiple Lit pages. ;)

Who you telling? I can't write less than 3 pages if my life depended on it.
LOL. I almost added "don't you know that LC is playing this time?" when I posted that earlier. Yeah I topped 5000 words like it was nothing. Was not trying to be long winded with this but it's a bit hard to get this many things placed together in a story without it taking pages.

Oh well back to Fawcking.

The thing with this is I have the feeling that mine may be easily picked out by a couple of people here who've read my stuff.

But the interesting thing would be wondering how many readers may check it out and say "Hey, I think I know who this is."

That's what it really comes down to. I don't think there's any way any of us can really disguise our writing styles without compromising how we tell a story. Something telling will always shine through whatever veil we drape over our style. This is as much a challenge for the readers -- in seeing how well they know any particular author's style -- as it is for us.

FAWCker, you are a FAWCking basturd! I only asked for a basket of goodies cuz I am a gurrl and I can't resist baskets of free goodies. And now I've got one that is so good I immediately thought of a fantastic story idea - partly inspired by the first FAWC entry of that your rascally sidekick Willie. Gah! How am I supposed to write that, while kicking the butt of Line Management, delivering my marking, cleaning my kitchen, doing some editing and enjoying my nephew's company?

Grrr, LOL.

I dunno. You've gone from YUCK to SUBLIME since I've known you, so I suspect youll keep getting better, and that may fool folks.

I love how you keep getting into these tight spots. :p

Careful about giving away too much information . . . ;)

And I'm the sidekick. :p

I am with you, Naoko! I will be spending most of my writing time next week tooling around various scenic states on vacation with the Kidlets! Hopefully the mountains prove inspiring, and my capricious iPad keyboard doesn't inspire me to jump of off one of said mountains ... And why did I think of and fall in love with such a complicated story???

He certainly would be helped if you came on the thread and said his was the best story. :D (It worked so well last time.)

I didn't like certain parts of what I had, so I did them over. Twice.

Well first draft is done. If you could see it, it looks like spaghetti sauce there is so much red on it. Got to love dyslexia.

Oh well, head is hurting to badly (Worked on a roof today heat headache since lunch) to want to play with the spell check for an hour or so. I'll give that a go tomorrow night.

Then the editing can commence, the really fun part.

I need two more nights to finish the one I was in the middle of.

Saturday I get to go see Bon Jovi with my wife for the 6th time (I think she has seen him close to 30 times) so, oh joy.

But Sunday I have all day and hope to get a good amount done on this fawking disaster I talked myself into going with.

One ingredient is still sort of eluding me.

Nice to see we're all having so much fun on this one. :p

I think the next FAWC will be a bit less complicated.

Can I ask for a basket, too? Though I can't possibly imagine achieving a twofer, I truly enjoyed the first FAWC. (Still sporting my trophy PROUDLY!)

Is IS fun! A challenge like this is good for the (literally) old brain cells and saves us from writing the same stuff we always write.

That being said, I don't think EVERY FAWC challenge should be like this. :D

Ohh, I have a question. Roughly how many words per page is a Lit page?
