So, how did Z get the broken nose and the gashes on the back of his head? You know, it was a rainy night and, by the time the cops arrived, some of the evidence could have been washed away.

There is something I have been wondering about ever since I first heard of this case. Was that a glass bottle of iced tea, an aluminum can or a plastic bottle. A plastic bottle could not be used as a weapon, but the other two possibilities could have been.

An Al can could have been held at the upper end and the edges of the bottom pounded against Z's face and head. If you don't believe that, get a full can and hold the top and use the bottom rim to pound, at an angle on a table, a sofa arm or your own thigh. It would be as good as a blackjack or brass knuckles.

From what I have read about TM, he was something of a gangbanger and would have been aware if such an improvised weapon. Keep in mind also, he was tall, strong and athletic, and could have hit somebody pretty hard.
