I haven't had time to do more than mow and do the basic yard stuff here. The past few days were more 'make look good for a party'.

Its ok, better now took some advil, and a benadryl last night and seemed to work pretty good. Good as new I suppose....

Well makes sense, it sounded like it went off without a hitch.

I'm glad it was a good day.

The party last weekend went well, considering how fast it was put together. She had more than a dozen friends show up for the bonfire. A good sign a party is a success is everyone stayed all evening, past midnight, and all the food was eaten! WIN!

All of that done, have been playing catch-up on sleep this week, too bad it was my weekend to work and I had to get up so early!

Putting Father's Day dinner together here and will be back later if my crappy satellite connection will let me.

The teenager got Bob a toy tool set. He has a whole garage full of tools and she thought he should have some he could play with in the house. She also got him some new shorts, which he really needed.

I was planning to grill steaks for dinner tonight, but with the headache opted for take-out from KFC instead. Love those No Cooking nights.

Busy weekend, had to finish the new coop since the young birds were getting too big for their kiddie pool and escaping! I had read to blend the flock it's best to introduce all of them to the new coop and eachother all at the same time so it's new territory to all.
Their first night seemed to go fine with no bloodshed, but each group of 4, the old and young, are staying together and not 'blending' yet. That might take some time.

About died working out in the heat putting the last of it together. Air conditioning never felt so good!

Took a break from the heat and went and saw World War Z yesterday. We liked it. The action sequences were fun, but agreed with the critics that called it 'uneven' as the flow seemed to stop and start. It was still a good popcorn flick and we enjoyed it.

Hi Kate. Yes, I was a bit late because I ran out to fill up my gas tank. Whenever I plan to stop in the morning before work, something always comes up and I end up being late. Now, I'll probably get there way early.

Busy! Our local greenhouse was closing so we got bargains on some pepper and herb plants we didn't get any of. Now I have to make room for them!

Nice to see gas down a little bit...but they'll probably bump it again before the 4th holiday?

Countryside is having a sale on all hanging baskets this week. $3.99 for any, so we might go pick up a couple. The ones we bought earlier for the front of the house aren't looking so good anymore. (Probably because I forget to water them. )

Gas is down to $3.35 here but I expect a big bump either tomorrow or tuesday which is why I wanted to fill up today. Probably need to give the teenager a little cash for her tank too. She doesn't get paid until Friday.

Most of the plants we got were way too big for the little pots they were in, and I need to get them in the ground quickly...like tomorrow! Will have to clean out the 'back' garden to make room for them.

Pretty much playing 'catch up' around here after being so busy with higher priority stuff. Always so much that needs to be done!

Looking forward to going to Michigan's Adventure later in July. Always a fun time.

We haven't been to Michigan's Adventure in a couple of years, I'm not really into the rides, but I enjoy the water park immensely.

I'm hoping to get to the drive-in again this year though. It's tough with Bob's schedule though. He goes to bed so early, even on weekends.

I did go visit my folks though on Saturday, and returned the folding chairs we borrowed for the open house. Nice to spend some time with them without the whole family around.
