Wow, what an amazing creature. I had to google that, LOL. I didn't realise such a creature existed.
The Bootle Bumtrinket
(Gerald Durrell's boat in My Family and Other Animals)
Hello, Honey
Gerald Durrell reminds me of his brother and The Alexandria Quartet. Probably time I read it again.
I was thinking that myself recently, Sugar.
And then there's the Avignon Quintet. With the black lesbian character called Trash. LOL.
Oh, so much reading, so little spare time
Sur le Pont d'Avignon
I go past this aqueduct sometimes on the train. What an amazing view to see it arching across the valley. (LLangollen aqueduct.)

That is the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. I have walked across it several times while my wife shudders.

Conference? Reasonable except wife and I seem to have volunteered to have roles on the committee of the organisation.
My role is simple. I can do it from home on my computer.
Her role? Could be demanding and involve travel to Birmingham. From East Kent that is a long way...

Hullo Jane!
Fountain pens.
When I had my knee operation, the surgeon drew the cross on the one to be operated on himself with his Mont Blanc pen. He made me the prettiest scar the post-operative team had ever seen, I was very ungrateful about it, I had been looking forward to something really butch, LOL.

Hiya
Fountainebleau
Friend of mine rave about this place, where they go bouldering. Bit boring but nice bods![]()

We used to be able to see the Chinese pagoda in Kew Gardens from one of the rugby pitches where my team played.

Erect building
Cambridge University Library, once described as a 'magnificent erection'.
![]()
When I worked at British Steel, many moons ago, I attended a meeting where one of the plant managers vehemently objected to some proposed maintenance work "because I've got that massive erection planned for next Wednesday."
He was talking about a scaffolding job, of course, but given he was a renowned womaniser with the nickname "Shafter", he never lived it down...

In the centre of Amsterdam, there's a National Monument.
It's more commonly known as the "National Erection"
