So the weather was a little chilly today, but the open house still went off without a hitch! We set up tables in the garage, plus we had some indoor seating so people were free to move back and forth as needed.
There is enough food left for another whole party. Kate, if you're planning your party soon, I can supply everything but the cake.
Otherwise, I'm going to have to start inviting everyone I know over for a meal!
Hope everything went well for your daughter's commencement! Two fine young women we raised.

Hey everyone! Hope the week is going well...
I have a philosophical question: Is it possible to be "too nice" for a person? I was getting to know a gal from the Detroit area, who enjoys being dominated and humiliated. She says because I'm respectful towards women, it's not "what she needs".
Should I even bother at this point? I'm just frustrated, is all.

Seriously? Since your being kind and respectful you are too nice? Oiy! Personally I'd say don't bother. Sounds like she doesn't know what she needs. HUGE difference being humiliated in the bedroom then being humiliated while chatting to someone. What does she want you to do? Call her a slut while asking about her day?

Congratulations! I'm glad it didn't rain out on you. It did drop surprisingly! I took my son to the playground and I was quite chilly.

It was breezy and cool, but no rain. Enjoyed my mom's visit, she hadn't been to our house in a couple years. The ceremony clipped along nicely and then we went out for a nice dinner.

Here, but my connection has started it's nightly crap-out and getting pages to load to post is difficult if not impossible! *cry*
Another busy week and weekend as Hubby said my daughter could have her grad party THIS weekend!! So mad scramble to get the yard in shape, a big bonfire built, food, pop, and put a party together.
Was last night and deemed a success with a good turn out of friends. They enjoyed the bonfire and fireworks, stayed until past midnight, and all the food was eaten, so a WIN!
But now I'm more exhausted than I was last week! LOL
I desperately need a 'do absolutely nothing' day!
How's your garden coming along? I haven't killed mine yet!

Good evening Kate. Glad to hear the graduation party went well. We had a fire here last night too. (but just for 3)
This weekend was Festival of the Arts here in GR so Friday at work was as close to a do nothing day as I can get. There are food booths and a stage right in front of our office so not much work gets done. Plus I was holding down the fort alone all afternoon. It was very nice!

Evening ladies!
Went to kids Bday and carnival today. This weather is so unpredictable it's making me mad. It's the wind that gets me. I'm fine in the sun and then the wind just blows in the chill. I have to get my skirts out of the closet this year!

I know what you mean. I went out in shorts earlier and it felt great. But now I'm sitting here in a sweatshirt.Sounds fun Nauti!
There was a local festival near here this weekend too, and old car festival that was lots of fun.
Worth going for the food vendors, indulged in my first elephant ear of the season!
An elephant ear would have been great but they were down on the next block. I had a kielbasa dog for lunch, and grabbed a waffle cone for dessert.

, and Kate My weekend was ok, yesterday my allergies were killing me had a major migraine, hate when those happen. Today finished weeding the rockery, it was overrun by wildflowers and raspberry bushes. Just have to bag it during the week.
Really nothing fun, just working around the house some more. Happy you gals got out and had some fun tho.

It was weird, was just reading, and all of a sudden my left eye got a little blurry, and then boom it started. I ended up puking, first time since my 21st birthday. LOL.
It was a perfect weekend for going out and working on the garden.
