Getting restless here. Think I'm gonna call it a night. Thanks Kate and Nimby for the good chat. Have a lovely week!:kiss:

Popping in early as it will soon be 'Family Movie Time', we're going to watch "Mama", it looks like creepy fun! :D

Hope everyone had a lovely Mother's Day. I was taken out to breakfast and got a lovely hanging basket for the patio and a new pillow (which I made sure worked this afternoon with a nice nap! :D )

Last night we went over to Firekeepers casino because the 'Pawn Stars' guys, dad Rick and son Cory, were there to unveil the new 'Pawn Stars' slot machines. I didn't want to wait in the 4 hour line to meet them personally, but I did snap a pic off to the side......

We don't normally go to Firekeepers on a busy Saturday night, but people watching was fun with it so crowded and I walked out $50 up playing only penny machines. :D

PSA: We have a frost/freeze warning tonight, so cover those tender new buds on your plants!

Movie Time! Will peek back after....

Happy Mother's Day!!!

Mine was pretty good. The teenager completely surprised me yesterday with a big bouquet of flowers that she bought with her own money. A first!

She had a party here last night so I started my mother's day making breakfast. A loaf of bread and a dozen eggs and voila French Toast for six. Then it was off to see my mom for a family Mother's Day/Teenager's Birthday celebration. It was wicked cold but we made the best of it with BBQ chicken, potato salad and corn on the cob. Yumm!

Came home and Bob went to work covering all of our planted flowers and veggies, and pulling the hanging baskets and yet-to-be-planted flats into the garage.

Happy Sunday Michigan! Hope everyone had a good week. How was the weekend? Gorgeous weather. We got the pool up yesterday and finished filling it today. I've got a solar cover on the way so hopefully it'll warm up nicely. I'm ready for summer.

I also managed to clean up a few things in the garage although there's still LOTS to do, made the first batch of pulled pork for the teenager's graduation. Tomorrow I'll do some shopping, order the cake and continue to clean. I always stress about cleaning, but it always turns out that even if I don't get everything done I wanted to, the house will still look presentable enough for company. (As long as nobody looks in any closets!)

Such a beautiful day! Bought some plants! Ran the roads! It is so wonderful when the humidity isn't high yet.

POOL PARTY AT NAUTI'S!!! :D

Actually, we went to the beach down in St. Joe today...it was hot and sunny and we're all a little pink. The water was still too cold to go more than ankles..surprised there wasn't ice chunks still floating in it! LOL

Sounds like you have it under control for the grad party!
There's hope that we can use the grad gown I have here...will know by the end of this week if she can pull it off or not! *nailbiting*

Hi SoaW! Glad you did summer stuff too!

Hope everyone got to get out and enjoy our summer weather!

Hoping you get your graduation girl Kate. The teenager is done. Mostly. She has one exam to take on Wednesday and 3 papers to turn in. I think that's it. (I sure hope so!)

I bought some herbs, two dark eyed fuchsia's and one large hydrangea. I can't wait to plant the hydrangea. I gotta get some acidic plant food to make the flowers blue.

Nice. I keep buying azaleas and they keep dying. I'm just going to have to try again with a different location.

I planted 8 hostas last year only 5 came up. I'm kinda ticked. That cold snap I think didn't help.

You guys been getting those June bugs yet? Killed three in my kitchen last night. Yuck!

I'm proud of your daughter, doing it the 'right' way! :rose: Mine will have to take all her exams because she's cutting it so close in all her classes!
Fingers crossed here......

Ooooo! Pretty! We have an azalea here that's in full purple bloom...gorgeous! :)

Yes, hostas are sensitive to cold. When we moved in here, there was a big one in the back yard in a really stupid spot so we moved it last year and divided it into 3. The one that's all shaded is much bigger than the one that sees a decent amount of sun each day. Go figure!

Oh.. and no June bugs here. Fingers crossed!

As you can tell, my connection is doing it's usual 'Weekend night' thing...

Our azalea came with the house, so probably been there 30 years?? I didn't know they were hard to get going! I'll appreciate it more now! LOL

SoaW, We're hoping Nauti and I both have graduates this week!

I'm proud of her too. I can't believe we're finally to the end. She is planning on taking some time to work and figure out what she wants to do as far as college goes. Hope she figures it out soon. It seems like the longer you wait, the harder it is to commit to going.

Jealous!

My mom tells me they're very individual. Some are hearty and some aren't. I think the first one died because of me, but I think the second one died because we had it in a bad spot.... too wet.

I'm also trying to get a couple rose of sharon plants to grow and they're taking their time.

Sounds like my attempts to get lavender to grow! My neighbor had to cut hers back like weeds! I'm on year 6 of trying to get some to make it through a season....
I have a black thumb! LOL

Any plans for Memorial Weekend coming up?

there's green stuff here and there, some has pink stuff, others have purples tuff and still others white...

Hey all, happy Sunday to everybody out in LitLand.

A week late but it sounded like our mothers on the board, had a good mothersday, and hope everyone else had a great week.

And Nauti, congrats on the kiddo graduating

Hi Nimby.

Thanks. I'm a proud mamma. Two weeks from today is the open house then life can get back to normal. :)

Kate, no Memorial Day plans here. I'm focused on the graduation then my mind can move on to other things.

Hi Nimby!
A lovely Mother's Day here, thank you! :rose:

Okay, I'm in need of a hot fudge sundae. Is it acceptable for middle aged women to go through the drive thru in a cami with no bra or do I need to get dressed before I go out?
