I hear ya Red. I have a wee bit of ginger in my hear from Dad's side of the family and pale skin from my Mom's. I burn at the drop of a hat. So where do I live? In the Australian state with the highest incidence of skin cancer IN THE WORLD!

Sounds like both of you could use a little bit of my paternal grandmother's Akwesasne Mohawk genes or one of my maternal great-grandmother's Romani/Gypsy genes: I use to tan just sitting in the shade of a tree on a cloudy day.

Hell, yes. My Scandinavian genes are designed for lands of snow and ice and where the sun shines only 6 months of the year. Arctic circle stuff, not the tropics!

I kept sunscreen with me and reapplied, as well as packed a cheap pair of sunglasses too. So I was all set for Friday. :)

I try to be safe, but often forget until it's too late. My redheaded daughter is just as bad, the other members of the family, all brunettes, have no issues with burning, with the exception of the spouse, whose head will burn, since he keeps it shaved bald.

There was this redhead I used to see up at camp. She could never spent time with me in the sun. She'd burn by the time we'd arrive at the lake, a wuarter mile away from her family's usual campsite
 
Good evening SCENT.

I got the writing done around noon today and took the afternoon off. Went out for coffee, got some magazines and trolled the Internet for a few hours. Will have a nap and have at the May work next.

That's cool Brett! Find find anything cool on the Internet? I hit eBay the other day. That was a mistake.
 
I have never used E-Bay and don't know if I ever will, unless it's as a seller. I don't like some of the things I've seen and heard about the site.

Basically visited here and there and did some Internet reading. Tried to amuse myself for the afternoon but probably should have spent less time on the Net and come home, slept and did some more writing. Oh well - I will be starting again soon.

Well today I won a pair of sunglasses I was watching. Polarized lenses too. I hate paying a lot of money for sunglasses. I spend too much thought in trying not to loose them. I'm also sick of the cheap ones breaking on me. Yay for EBay!

I have worn "transition" (what they used to call "photogray") lenses for several decades now and they do what I need them to do. I am slightly light sensitive and so on bright winter days, they come in handy.

Hey Red! First week on the job almost over!

RJ you're gonna flog me. I did something I haven't done in a long time. I forgot eat today. I got in the car and my hands started to shake. I git light headed. I knew my sugar was dropping. I went into the school and bought some chips. It's all they had! Paid $1 for A slice of pizza, and ate at jimmy johns sandwich. My head is pounding right now. I haven't felt like this in a long time! Blah

On the plus side... I bought 2 really expensive fish for my kids teacher. The kids were so excited to have fish in the tank.
