How do we end special demographic based history months?

So, I guess you really believe this? I know it may be hard for you but could you cut down on.the cerebral academic talk and just write in normal everyday stanard American English? I'm not trying to offend you but if you really want more people to understand what you're saying you should consider your audeience. I'm 2 courses short in getting a degree in French so I've seen plenty of academic speak. It only works well in academia and does not cross over well to the general public.

I cannot help it if the population accepts being dumbed down as normative and will not strive to converse in a fashion other than the slang and colloquialism of their selected consensus. I simply type as I read and I read from an age where communication and language were held semi-sacred. It did not have to conform to the format of the tweet; being that shallow was the mark of the uneducated, not the near graduate.

It is in the best interests of the Socialist agenda, now and historically, to keep us divided and for us to have enemies when the goal is the equality of outcome (rather than equality before the law) for if you do not have that which is your right (actually desire but we have devolved the word right to the same level as we have devolved words like racism, marriage and liberty) then it is because someone has oppressed you, robbed you or just hates you. This need for an enemy basically covers their economic flaws as the institute redistribution in the form of progressive taxation, regulation and legislation. This is how the civil rights movement works to keep the black constituency alienated from "white America," which does not not even really mean white people as a group, just white "classic" liberals who prefer the rights of the individual and Capitalism to Socialism as an economic basis for the ordering of society.

Yeah, dude, you seriously are that out of touch. I was talking about youth. How many young senators are there? That place is like a retirement home for politicians.

I watched the pop awards with my daughter and they seemed pretty alienated to me.

A lot of them sound like Harry Belafonte...

"There is an old saying, in the days of slavery. There were those slaves who lived on the plantation, and there were those slaves who lived in the house. You got the privilege of living in the house if you served the master, do exactly the way the master intended to have you serve him. That gave you privilege. Colin Powell is committed to come into the house of the master, as long as he would serve the master, according to the master’s purpose."
Harry Belafonte

Since when was Capitalism a societal/social structure?

You mean natural rights....like being able to marry whoever the fuck you feel like because you allegedly live in a free society and paid your 150 tax when you purchased your marriage licence just like everyone else and therefor should be entitle to the same legal status/protection etc. as any other wed couple?

Maybe you mean the right for a woman to decide with her health care provider how to best manage her reproductive organs without some church going DC lawyer telling the MD how to do his job?

Maybe you mean the right for a legally consenting adult to ingest/consume whatever medication/food they want without going to prison??

How about this capitalism idea, no more trillions in welfare to the top few % of the nation??? EHHH?? EHH?? Wan't that welfare gone? Bye bye big pub billionaires.

When you get emotional, you get angry and begin sounding like a loon spewing bromide, sophism and bumper-sticker as if it were actual conversation.

Maybe this is the manner of speech LadyVer was imploring me to attempt in order to be understood.

Who the hell is Harry Belafonte? Is that who Harry Elefonte is named after?

I'm not emotional...I could give 2 fucks about how bombed out our gov is.

But seriously since when was capitalism a social structure based around individual liberty? LMFAO that's got to be the dumbest fucking thing you have EVER said.

Dude, you're old and no one cares what you're saying because you're view of reality doesn't mesh with the really real world anymore. We're totally talking to hot white chicks in Sweden while you're trying to convince us to hate them for stealing out land. It didn't happen to us. It happened to you. We don't give a shit. He's not even mad, bro. What the hell are you talking about?

Dude, he's old, just smile and nod and maybe he'll give us some money or some shit. Just don't tell him we're spending it on drugs. I bet we can totally milk him outta a fortune. Tell him we wanna sell him a reverse mortgage or some shit.

*shouting so 4rest can hear me* Socialism Is Bad. Respect Our Elders. People Should Get Married. To Women. Of The Opposite Sex. Can I Borrow Your Car?

You called AJ on his bogus logic and inconsistencies. Therefore you shall be personally attacked in order for him to evade responsibility for the nonsense he just uttered.

Keep it up and you'll be called a meanie and put on iggy.

I keep saying "dude" in this thread. Talking to the elderly makes a teenager out of me. I'm making pancakes.

It is the right to do as you please as long is it brings no harm to another. It is the right to property and it is the right to association. What part of that is not a social, legal and economic polity?

I don't think you know what capitalism is, buddy.

My reality is your reality with just a tad bit more background and color to it.

Since Plato and Aristotle all forms of social organization are known and are cyclic. From tyranny and absolute rule springs Republic which tends to democracy which leads to a ruling oligarchy and eventually from the oligarchy a supreme tyrant emerges. I am just historically astute enough to be able to point out the rise of the oligarchy and that young, clever and $4 will get you a Starbuck's and not a helluvalot else.

It is not indication that you are in touch with anything more substantive than your fellow youth.

I know. I was once one and thought I knew everything. Back when I was Democrat yearning for Socialism and fairness.

I don't think I know anything. I just don't care about the things that you seem to want me to because they aren't real anymore. Now can I borrow the car or not, I have to go make a withdrawl so I can send Svetlonna an advance.

Plus, only yuppies and hipsters go to Starbucks anymore. I only drink cruelty free coffee that I brew at home and carry around in a reusable cup. Who drinks out of those flimsy paper things?

I know what it is.

I also know that your economic polity drives your social polity.

A Capitalist wants to go about his business and pay scant attention to yours.

A Socialist wants not just a redistribution of wealth, but the redistribution of outcome...

Man, I gotta make breakfast, but it's too fun to make fun of you. I'm a bad person.

So time begins with your birth and ends with your death, but wait, the High Schools then, right now are bursting full of a new reality which you are no longer going to be part of because, like dude, you're already getting old...

As we used to say in '68, "Don't trust anyone over 30!"

;) ;)

Just... capitalists not paying attention to people-
Throwing away all those advertising classes and-
See, things like this is why I think half the people on this site are just fucking with folk. Nobody's actually that stupid and never was. It's not because you're old. It's because you're fucking with me. Nobody's that detached from reality.

When cornered, AJ routinely falls back on his "I'm older, therefore wiser" schtick a la Vetteman and Amicus...and never fails to remind us that any of his "youthful indiscretions" were solely because he considered himself to be a Democrat back then...

AJ, it is in academia where it is taught to consider your audience. I find it hard to believe that you don't know that or care, especially since you are trying to persuade people about your beliefs.

Exactly. But I don't find it funny or whatever, that's just the way the world works. Those kids have completely different lives and the world will keep on spinning. I have informants to keep me involved so I don't wind up old and stupid like you.

He's not trying to persuade, he's fucking with us.

He's not trying to persuade, he's fucking with us.

This is very true in that I hope to persuade not one soul.

It amuses me to no end to watch you fight for that which will not end or turn out as you imagine.

Who knows if you are capable of change? Time has a funny way of changing perspective...

"We know that the moment of greatest danger to a society is when it comes near realizing its most cherished dreams."
Eric Hoffer

That is the beauty of Capitalism, it allows society to change its veneer but not its core where and Socialism demands you abandon all sense of core for the transitory and fleeting in order to direct Society to and end, one that generally ignores economics and ends in ruin.

The technique of these parties is based on the division of society into producers and consumers. They are also wont to make use of the usual hypostasis of the state in questions of fiscal policy that enables them to advocate new expenditures to be paid out of the public treasury without any particular concern on their part over how such expenses are to be defrayed, and at the same time to complain about the heavy burden of taxes.
The other basic defect of these parties is that the demands they raise for each particular group are limitless. There is, in their eyes, only one limit to the quantity to be demanded: the resistance put up by the other side. This is entirely keeping with their character as parties striving for privileges on behalf of special interests. Yet parties that follow no definite program, but come into conflict in the pursuit of unlimited desires for privileges on behalf of some and for legal disabilities for others, must bring about the destruction of every political system.

...

But it is precisely in this form that the principle of equality [as verses Equality before the law] is most acclaimed by those who expect to gain more than they would lose under an equal distribution of goods. Here is a fertile field for the demagogue. Whoever stirs up the resentment of the poor against the rich can count on securing a large audience. Democracy creates the most favorable preliminary conditions for the development of this spirit, which is always and everywhere present, though concealed. So far all democratic states have foundered on this point. The democracy of our own time is hastening towards that same end.
Ludwig von Mises

I am not an academic.

I am a computer scientist with a degree in Math.

I also spend a lot of time reading tomes of economics and history.

I am not persuading anyone and I know it. I am reminding them of what we used to be...
