... for a woman to wrench on cars? I'm rebuilding a carburetor, hands stained with grease. What do you think?

Are you wearing overalls?

Then that might start to have all kinds of possibilities...

Silly Girl :)

What a woman does isn't as sexy as the way she chooses to do it. ........... Doesn't matter what it is.........................

there's a reason I dont deal with fuel injected. A carb is simple, less to go wrong with it.
,
I have never had good luck with carbs. I m finding FI very easy, just plug in the computer and it tells whats bad.

But I tell you what, show me your carb, and I will show you my fuel injectors.;)

I prefer an older car without computers involved. Much simpler, cheaper, more reliable.

You got me wishin I had dual carbs to show off

Just knowing there's a woman out there thinking about jets and power valves, maybe wearing a subtle perfume that you can barely detect under that sharp tang of carburetor cleaner????

Shuddddder..

IF you have the talent to actually get a piece of crap GM Rochester to ever work right I'm in love

Although for my midlife crisis I finally broke down and joined the modern world....( only because it's hard to get over 200 horsepower out of 1800 cc's without going in jacket or blown)

Of course on the other hand the midlife crisis in part for quite some time when I had a fuel pump issue, Decided it was God's way of telling me I should park it for a while until I have a chance to rebuild the head I think I've been to valve on the non VTech side.

Makes me feel like stripping it down... for the next build it's going to be sleeved stroked injected and blown.

P.s. this thread is worthless without pictures!... just sayin

Query - give me an air cooled VW and I might be able to get it to work right. Throw in a radiator and fuel injection and I'm in over my head. I don't care about power - I'm dealing with 1600 ccs, probably around 50hp. I just care about style. Who needs to go fast when you look good? She sure does purr when she's tuned up nice.

I too, foolishly tried joining the modern world and bought a newfangled car with a computer and air conditioning, and it was a mistake. I can't fix the damn thing myself and its too expensive to bring to a shop. It's broke a month after I bought it. I should have stuck with my gut and bought another VW instead.

You should get around to doing your rebuild. What a feeling of accomplishment when it is done..

I'll think about postin some pics, depends if I have any good ones.

women

I think women are sexy in a lot of jobs including working on cars. I think there is the whole opposite gender role thing, involving women doing "a man's job", that is very appealing so long as they look like a female. I do not mean they have to wear a skirt, do their nails, wear makeup, etc. they simply need to look feminine for it to be really hot. I will try to explain with an example.

When I used to work as a carpenter in construction I was assigned a female helper. The other men used to tease her a lot and generally didn't take her seriously. I was very fortunate to work with her as she was always willing to jump in on any job, get me any tools that I needed and all the while she talked like a woman, didn't try to cuss with the guys. She smelled like a woman, lilacs shampoo I am pretty sure. Her clothes though appropriate for the work were clean and fit her well. She was very attractive and quite sexy. Nothing ever happened between us and I never made any passes. She was simply very good at her job and looked sexy as hell doing it.

Yes women look sexy in typical male stereotypical roles...but they also look sexy in female roles too. I find that when they are competent, self-assured and feminine women are definitely lovely creatures.

Missus Robinson are you trying to seduce me???

Before I joined the modern world with my Honda it was Volkswagens....

I've spent 1300 dollars in legal fees in this little town trying to get back my 1965 bug it was stolen by a towing company who lied and said it was parked in front of a fire hydrant in a town with no police department.

I've got a 63 still parked on the land that I owned before the divorce... my then wife's then boyfriend (now husband) drug it from 1 side of the yard the other when he decided to show off his new house and his new girl and his new kids... in the process this genius (coincidentally tow truck driver) bent 1 of the spring plates so I can't even get a trans axle under it to hook up a tow bar.

Somebody's are already stolen the 1965 Mercury that I also left on the property. Got cars scattered over 2 states in 3 or 4 counties.

The first car that was all mine was a 1972 Volkswagen fastback with air conditioning and fuel injection... and it was an automatic transmission.

I swap the body onto a pan with a standard transmission and converted it to corporation and ignore the air conditioning.... in Arizona.... can't lose the horsepower.

If you are more about style then power and you like volkswagons you probably love an East German Trabi.... It's basically Volkswagen body on a Renault suspension

I was going to get an autostick fastback for my husband but then we got the POS subaru. I dream of owning a 60s squareback someday.

I looked up the east german trabi - very cute car. Also came across this image which I felt I had to post here.

ok now see if we'd have had auto shop teachers or teachers aides (like this one shown previously) I never would've left school--, I mean NEVER.
I'd still be there!!!!

SEXY as hell! Super hot! I love when a woman is into cars, can drive fast, and WANT to work on their own stuff! Total turn-on! LOVE IT!

Ugh, I have a bank of four flatslide Keihin's I need to strip, clean, mount & synch on my Kawasaki in the next month. Would your hubby mind if I borrow you for a few weeks? ;)

I've got two FI cars that always start on the first crank, every time, no matter the temp or their mood. I consider them appliances.

*tucking her adjustable wrench back in her pocket*

The lingo, I don't speak, but I sure don't mind a little grease under my nails, and I may cuss if I bang my knuckles or my boob gets caught (accident while drooping a transmission, long story LOL)
But I can wield a wrench ... and build grills by myself.
Expect off-color jokes, though ... something about being in a garage brings out my inner raunchy!
I think its sexy for another chick to be ballsy about her live of grease. I know I'm a chick, too, it I figured I'd toss my two cents in, too!

I was working on my truck when 4 women walked through the garage I was in. One of them said hey girls I'll see you later came over and asked if she could help. She soon became my wife and after 23 years I still consider her the sexiest woman I've ever known. Keep wrenchin honey
