i'm the same way with cooking. i even clean as i go - something i learned from my mother; she couldn't stand the idea of spending an hour or more in the kitchen cooking, only to have to clean turn around and clean the kitchen afterward.

I clean the same way, that's something I taught myself. My mom is not a savvy housekeeper. I think it was raising 4 daughters, tending a dairy farm with dad, and working full time as a nurse that made housekeeping chores one of those "eh" things in life.

I had to buy more than the heavy cream though. I pulled out my wax paper and well, there wasn't much there, so I had to buy that, then I figured I better check the levels of the other things too. I was all set to go when I realized I am short on the 6 cups of confectioners sugar, so I'm off to get that now... and it does smell very nice and very welcoming.
