My girlfriend knitted me gloves. It was so nice. They fit just perfectly, I have a hard time finding gloves that fit right. They were warm, but not oppressively so. I had them for years. The relationship outlasted the gloves though...

More subtle flavor, but it depends on the fish and wine. A stronger white wine will overpower some very light fish, but a gentle red can go well with "pinker" fish like salmon.
