The "Why Obama should not be reelected" thread

face it, your Beloved Obama said something stupid at the debate just because he wants to get reelected - because he cannot run on his record. I will not reward his silliness.

I like this thread because it brings out the worst in Libs.

No seriously... LOL.

Since you're no longer maintaining the position that Obama claims perfection, there's nothing to contradict.

Since we're removing assertion A (Obama claims perfection), there's no contradiction. You either need to go back to ascribing thoughts to Obama or just let it go.

I mention to Sean Renaud that he can ignore "a." because he got all pissy with me (Libs do that, a lot).

You cannot ignore "a." I still contend "a." is true in Obama's mind. He believes his mistakes in his presidency was that "he could have explained things better to the American People." as if words can make things better - he fails to realize it's his policies, and not his explanations, that are the issue.

Really, that's it. he thinks he's perfect. "a." stands. Do not like it? Write your Congressperson.

What is Obama's foreign policy anyway?

He took up where Bush left off after he said America was Sorry for...I don't know, the USA being the USA I guess.

So your premise depends on mind reading. Sean was right to call you out on A and now I've done it twice.

And that line you keep spouting about an interview wasn't about foreign policy. It was about Obama criticizing his failure to do enough inspiring and telling America where's he's going with everything. There's no possible way for you to read this as Obama claiming perfection.

"It's funny - when I ran, everybody said, well he can give a good speech but can he actually manage the job?" he said. "And in my first two years, I think the notion was, 'Well, he's been juggling and managing a lot of stuff, but where's the story that tells us where he's going?' And I think that was a legitimate criticism."

People who claim perfection don't go around talking about ways they've fallen short.

So you do not see a contradiction between b and c? Really?

No, you're thinking way too concretely and literally. I'm sure Obama does not literally think that Romney is correct on 0% of his foreign policy opinions. We should take Obama's wording as being shoddy and over the top, not as a literal claim.

If you want to take it literally and swear that Obama said Romney is right 0% of the time though then that's your right. I'm not going to argue with you that it was a good choice of words.

Debate #3
a. Obama states that his foreign policy decisions are all correct
b. Obama states to Romney "Every time you've offered an opinion, you've been wrong"
c. Obama acknowledges that Romney has the same position as Obama on some issues
d. Therefore, Obama admits to having wrong opinions as well
e. Therefore, some of Obama's foreign policy decisions are wrong

So, he does not deserve another term as Commander-in-chief

I'll have more later. What is your rationale?
A. There is no "correct" or "incorrect, "right" or "wrong" about foreign policy. It's a poker game. There is only better or worse.

B. This may have been true at the moment it was spoken.

C. This comment was made after Romney shook his Etch-A-Sketch in the middle of the third debate.

I concur.

See, of all the issues on Obama's plate, of all of them, he saw his alleged lack of communication being one place where he made an error. Don't you see that in his mind, he thinks he is perfect. Am I a mind reader? No. But based on his own assessment, of course he thinks he is doing the right things. he just needs to talk to the people in a way such that the people will clearly see what Obama is doing.

I have to barf... drink any Obama KoolAid lately??
