So, some of you might still know me. Most of you I probably don't know that well, seeing as Lit is a revolving door of sorts.

For those of you that do know me, I recently got engaged to my lovely girlfriend Meka. (Please don't throw that bit of information around on FB just yet. ;) ) I am finally finishing something I started...a novel(!!!), and last but not least, I am moving to Florida.

Any Floridians? Any advice? And once again (even though it has been done to death), what are individual thoughts on publishing? Independent, major publishing house, self publishing? Thoughts on e-publishing and Lulu.com?

Love you all!

That is all wonderful news!

Who proposed?

Congratulations! Best wishes for a long and happy life together. :rose:

No advice to share regarding publishing. As far as Florida goes, don't feed the gators. ;)

Where in Florida are you moving? I'm a native Floridian and know a few things about the state. ;) PM me if I can be of help.

BTW Gay marriage is not legal nor recognized in this state ... yet

Welcome to the neighborhood. Which part of the State are you moving to? I've been in South Florida for a couple decades, and I can tell you that it takes some getting used to before you feel comfortable.

As for advice, get your driver's license and register to vote immediately. Otherwise, you run he risk of not being counted.
