Is it time for the U.S. to withdraw from the Middle East?

The middle east is going to be like this for the next 10 years or so.

Look at all the changes that have happened over the past decade.

Most of those people are feeling freedom for the first time.

The deaths of the Americans was not due to a huge organized mob aimed at killing all Americans.

The protest was already scheduled and al qaeda capitalized on the situation.

All Americans must fear Muslims.

Do it.

Jizz.

I don't think so.....Muslims in the US have more freedom, yet they don't riot, blow up things and send women in as suicide bombers.....

It's time

It's time to realize that our weak ass president should stop kissing the ass of the ungrateful radical muslim countries in the middle east. Since he was elected the positive rating of the U.S. has decreased even though he continues to kiss their ass. It is time to realize that the radicals in the middle east will never change. Their only dream is to obliterate the U.S. They are nut jobs and they will never be happy.

That you, Ms. Bachmann?

From what I can tell we'd have to just about double our domestic production and/or imports from Russia and/or Canada. Off the top of my head I can't think of any large oil exporters outside of OPEC other than those two. Norway maybe?

We can increase domestic production all we want but it doesn't mean Chevron will take that extra oil and sell it within America, right? They'll simply take it to the international market like always. Planning for oil independence is like planning to catch a leprechaun.

Norway as well as Venezuela, Mexico, UK, Brasil...

Why do they all type the same way?

Um, they all do. Can you link me any votes in congress that are anti Israel?

Wha?? I said, start by voting out those Congressman that support Israel......see how quickly that means something.

We have the ability to change our system by voting. If you dont like it, vote

You act like economic and miltary aid we give for Israel is coming out of your pocket.....what's your deal?

That would be a no, then.

Because Israel is the anchor tied around our waist in the Middle East.

How so? Israel has nothing to do with most of our asshattery in the Middle East. The thousands of American lives lost in Iraq and Afghanistan have nothing to do with Israel, and neither did our military involvement in Libya, nor is Israel the reason we throw billions at a country like Pakistan, which harbored Bin Laden.

Wondering in Wasilla,
Ellie

making sense won't get you very far here....

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) is one of the most powerful lobbying groups in DC. To get rid of Israel's influence over Congress you would have to vote out most of Congress.

And since this is no secret and many Congressmen have served multiple terms, it would appear that their constituents don't think it troubling enough to vote them out.

So, what's your next suggestion?

The U.S. treats Israel as the 52nd state, but pisses on Arab nations. Iraq and Iran hint at nuclear ambitions and we levy sanctions against them faster than you can say "Security Council Resolution". Yet Israel steals the bomb from us and remains an undeclared nuclear state to this day, but nary a sanction in sight.

Israel, in any given year, is the second-largest recipient of U.S. foreign aid, much of it in the form of guarantees with which Israel purchases arms from U.S. defense companies. In other words, we taxpayers pay to arm Israel to the teeth against Arab states.

We give billions to Pakistan, Iraq and Afghanistan so as to ensure governments friendly to us, yet ignore the simple fact that these may not be the forms of government the people of these countries want. We pay off these countries so that their governments can put down any popular destabilization that would threaten our access to oil from the region. And then we arm Israel just in case all hell breaks loose.

Hope that sheds some light on the matter.

Sit back, relax and have some kreplach or some blintzes.....maybe a little chicken soup....
