A fetus is a hand full of chromosomes away from being a tape worm, that's a fact. The ONLY diff between the two is location and genetic relation the the host/mother, that is it.

You are saying they should talk until they come to an agreement? I think thats a great idea. However I think no matter how much Blob loves his wife, 9 times out of 10, she will never be able to convince him to accept an abortion, and he will never be able to convince her not to abort.

Nobody has said that this is a 100% deal except when the law is required for a tie breaker.

It should be, and in my opinion is best when there's a partnership, man and woman, making the choice together.
