Rugby: is union or league better?

Its a given fact that rugby union is a great sport, but I'd never really watched much rugby league before recently. I've been checking some of it out the past week on the internet. I previously had only watched a few brief clips and it didn't impress me. It seemed pretty repetitive and even boring.

However, after watching some more or it this week, though I still prefer union due to the complexity and strategy, I have to say that league is entertaining in its own way too.

I wish we got NRL games in the US. :(

So, which form of rugby do you prefer and why?
 
Union is more cerebral but League is often faster moving, the scrums slow down Union . Can you get the Irish international rugby channel Setanta? It's available in Caanada. We get all the cups games plus friendlies.
 
I think the IRB made a mistake getting a bastardized game like Sevens in the Olympics. Sevens looks fun to play but its retarded to watch.

I'm too cheap to buy cable, much less satellite TV. I prefer when they put it free on the internet. :D
