how do you feel about watching people die?

they might have an injured kitten in the car with them though. god forbid.

The cat won't press criminal/civil charges if I accidentally hurt it more by saving it's life. The person will....fuck that, I'm not one to keep touching the "hot" stove top after I get burned the first time.

I was not intent on turning dolf's thread in this direction, but yes, I do indeed agree with you on some level.

Back in the day, it was considered naturally instinctive to preserve a human life. If someone saved someone's life based upon the unselfish belief that every human life is worth saving, then the life saved would be eternally grateful. The savior would likely think they would do the same in kind for them, without a second thought nor demanding a payment of some sort.

In today's world, if you save a life, you are more likely to be sued as a way of saying thanks, but no thanks because they are alive.

It's my natural instinct to help out and while I wish I could help, thanks but no thanks.

Asshole? scum bag cynic? Sure....but at least I'm not taking the red hot poker of "American Justice" up the peehole over it.

Death as an observer isn't clean.

That's the bit no-one is prepared for.... Death is messy (not always, but most.)
Body fluids, smells, things people don't expect.
The first time I saw someone die, I was not ready for the body fluids being released.... nor was I ready for the noises. There are noises after someone dies.

i'm still in the stoneage. i never talk to anyone, so i never bothered.

Ok girl. There's being there when someone dies. There's killing someone. And there's actively participating in the preservation on life.

And I'm still ambivalent.

Today's society tries to punish people for doing the right thing.

one person in a hundred would do that. i wouldn't let that one person corrupt me to to the point where i'd turn my back when the other 99 might be helped. why give them that power?

Why should unintentional heroes face persecution at the hands of the very life they save?

they shouldn't. but life is full of shit. you've just got to do the best you can.
for yourself. for the concepts of right and wrong. for compassion.

I don't know that though...it could very well be another fuck nugget looking for an easy buck, and I won't risk getting fucked for doing the right thing again.

911 is the extent of my civic responsibility, if someone else made the call first then I'm out.

why give them that power?

IDK ask the US Department of Justice why they empower people to do such things.

Yea that sounds great and all until you are on the financial end of america's throbbing cock of justice.

anyone would have fun trying to sue me.
even if they won, the amount i make, the courts would order me to pay off £5a month. that just makes me giggle.

For comparison maybe ?

There are lines that shouldn't be crossed. We can rationalize anything in our own self-interest.

BB is a moron. Play with him as you will, changes nothing.

Then you do your best to give the shitters a toxic overdose of medication that produces fatal constipation.

Death by shit, I love it.

Ahhhh...see you don't have much to lose, It hurt when I didn't have all that much and it will hurt a lot more now that I have shit to lose. But the principal of it stings far more than hocking over the cash....I seriously should have let the bitch bleed out.

I do not know Botany Boy enough to side with him wholeheartedly, but I definitely understand his pov on this. You do as well.

I am not going to undermine dolf's reasoning, because the better part of me agrees with her.

The bottom line is that when you do your best throughout your life to unselfishly do what you believe is the right to keep a person you love from dying , or you try to save a stranger's life because you believe they have the right to live, and THEN you are treated as if you are scum for doing such a thing...........there is only so much you can take before you decide to strike back or become numb to what was once held sacred.

Be over to your thread in a min with some of the REAL gem's you have put up, I wouldn't want to pollute Dolf's thread with that garbage.

You are pollution.

Tell us all what I believe and provide links.

It's obvious to anyone that you're a fucking alt., a coward.

Post the links and your interpretation.

Ishmael

you know i have you on ignore, you know i have no interest in what you have to say and, most importantly, you know that you invariably shit my threads up with the stupidarse bitch fights you drag in.

<---Frizzle_Fry btw...we have talked a few times.

I don't mean to undermine Dolf, I wish I could do good things and help others out when shit get's ugly. She is right....she is 100% correct in doing the right thing.

But like you said...if I'm going to get fucked for it I won't be doing the right/good thing for very long. Blame your government/society for assholes like me...I didn't get here on my own. I used to be such a nice boy...

you know i have you on ignore, you know i have no interest in what you have to say and, most importantly, you know that you invariably shit my threads up with the stupidarse bitch fights you drag in.

Sorry, I wouldn't have quoted if I had known.

i'm not exactly saintly though.
i'm the sort to look around and see if someone else is going to deal with it, then have the ''shit! it'll have to be me then* moment.
a better person would instantly assume they were the one who should help.
