Writing Goal for the Day?

Working my way to the end of Ch19 of ALMI and introducing the girls to ass fisting. Taken the 'realism' a step farther and have my heroine starting her period at an unfortunate time for it to happen. Setting up the next chapter for some serious events to take place, as this one sets the scene for the hatred of the lesbians by the neighbours, coming to a head.

Great! I love when "reality" plays a role as it becomes (duh!) more real to me, I can buy into the story more which I prefer.

Looking forward to the end result.

Thanks LF.:) I'm very much a proponent of real life events and occurances happening in my stories. The more a reader can relate to their own life, the more they'll get into the story and hopefully let minor mistakes go by without incidence.:D

I'm exhausted, but too stressed from their visit to get much sleep when I try, which means I'm too tired to finish all the cooking and cleaning that needs to get done when we have company, which makes me more stressed because they can then see how I "can't manage it all" with just one kid in the house, which then makes me even less able to sleep, and on, and on, and on.

I'm sure managing with just one kid in the house is just fine. It seems adding a load of unhelpful in-laws is what's causing the problem!! Why are they not forcing you to put your feet up and helping you out? Hmph.

Stress isn't good for you on many counts right now, and if they can't understand that, well, too bad.

Don't add writing to your list of stresses. We love your stuff, but we want you and the next little critter healthy.

What she said.

Christmas card design done. So now I can look back to doing some writing production today. Unfortunately, it's going to have to be editing what someone els has written.

As mentioned earlier the two articles are done and in bed.

Went from over 1,600 to a little over3,000 words on my new Lit piece, so I feel good about that other than it is pretty raw stuff that will need quite a bit of editing and proofing. Sigh, the sweet anguish we put ourselves through for our craft.

Night all, see you in the new week!

No goal for me today. My in-laws arrived on Thursday, and are here until next Thursday. I'm going crazy, and we're not even halfway through.

You reminded me of when I was about to pop with #3, and my in-laws came to "help." What a nightmare! I was so glad when they left. Take it from me, don't lose sleep over hurting someone else's feelings. Do what you have to do to take care of you.

Got some writing done for MISTER NOODLE. The title comes from the old PB&J OTTER kiddie show. When in doubt, do the Noodle Dance. I need to find an apt name for 'Ethel' the femme fatale of the tale.

Working on a GM "first times" relaunch anthology, habu's Beyond the Beaded Curtain. The original version (Across the Threshold) sold very well.

I just found out I had a goal that was meet. I've been waiting and hoping to get added to someones favorite authors list. Today I noticed it has happened after I had released my latest story. I don't know if it will stick, but I'm sure happy about it since it was the next landmark that I wanted to achieve. Little things like that have helped me feel good about my writing.

Want to get back to writing but things always seem to get away from me... not sure if I should force the issue or see if things settle down. Because, really, they never seem to settle down.

You know your tasks at work are crappy when your "carrot" for doing them is editing.

But that's the goal: finish the two tasks I've been actively avoiding for months, and then as a reward, feign a headache and sneak off to the bedroom with the laptop to edit the first scene of the current story while Mr. Tat and the kidlet entertain the in-laws.

Because, really, they never seem to settle down.

Methinks this might have something to do with the kids running around the house. ;)

Have a countdown until school starts yet?

Got some writing done yesterday. It rained 4 1/2 inches, so I had plenty of free time to scribble.

My first drafts resemble dune buggies of the 70s: Motor, wheels, steering, and a seat...nuthin else. A career with the state compelled me to compress lotsa information into a small space. From 1986 to 1993 I had ONE paragraph of writing space on the puter for a diagnostic impression. In 1993 the space increased to 85 lines but had to include every official criminal event. A few clients had 45 or more arrests. So my writing tends to be packed tighter than PILOTs colon.

Oh, it's not that bad, really. Some days I take the kids to a local pool although it's been hard to get motivated for that despite the heat. My arms were tired from previous pool outings (have to hold up PennGirl, who can't swim) and I hate even going to the pool when it's like this. Perhaps today, though, even with rain the forecast.

I don't have an exact countdown but school usually starts the day after Labor Day, so a bit less than two months. And it will be weird this year, as PennGirl is signed up for a 3-day/week afternoon preschool program. That'll be a wee bit more quite time during the day.

Made another installment of Mister Noodle. Its OK enough. It does what its supposed to do. Somewhere along the way I acquired an innate sense of timing, and like where the writing flow stops each time. The paragraphs need polishing but seem to be complete and comfortable to read.

Today, after an hour of exercises in a neverending battle, I'm sending short story and poem submissions off to journals, working on the mainstream biennial anthology I volume edit myself, plowing through a review of my GM "first times" anthology for expansion and relaunch, continuing an assessment of an industrial espionage thriller manuscript for a paying client, trying like hell to remember what a short story idea I had last week was (should have written a note on it then), and . . . yuck . . . scraping moss off a brick patio.

Added an installment to Mister Noodle. Observing the No More Than 3 Rule, I let the Sun shine up Ethel's ass briefly after the 3rd complication was safely stowed aboard. Let her catch her breath. The next sequence of events transports Ethel from the mall parking lot to the wilds, and her car mired in a ditch. God couldnt find her if she had a flare gun, and miles of unobstructed prairie, instead of the forest primevil.

Suggestion: When you go to write, dont let your alligator mind bite off more than than your hummingbird ass can deal with. Fill every scene with a beginning and end, and stay in the scene till its done.

I found another place on the interwebs which will accept "Taboo" erotic stories. This is not a "stroke" fiction place: There MUST be plot and believable characters. Not saying that the male can't be hung, the females DD cupped beauties, but that's not what they're looking for.

Anyway, I've had a stroke of inspiration, to take some characters I created in high school and recently found - thankfully my mother didn't throw out my notebooks with my baseball and hockey cards and comic books - and place them into erotic situations.

The in-laws are gone, and due to hyper-productivity at work this week, I'm already done with all of my work hours . . . and then some.

Time to creep home to sneak in some "me" time and write. And then clean the house and make pizza for supper before it's time to pick the kidlet up. :)

Hope others are having a good Friday!

Today, I'll be happy if I get another chapter uploaded to AFC Stories.

Got my installment done already. I see the way to introduce all the principal characters without creating a cluster-fuck. I like how it fits together, like a Bach fugue!

My snatch of writing for today is done. I may have stumbled over a format I like.
