My SO might be interested in showing off a little on vid chat. We have no idea what site to use. And secondly, is it possible to vid cam in a way that prevents the session from being recorded? Advice appreciated

You can use yahoo or skype for private chat. Everything can be recorded. At the worst you can use a screen recording software to record what is on the screen or print screen to capture images

i have used yahoo IM. this way you can limit the people viewing. I for one would never record anyone with you their permission. It is best to cam with people you trust.

I wouldn't mind watching myself. it has been a while since I have cammed with anyone.

Some sites like cam4 will capture your images while you cam and people can view stills. Also unless you pay you can't block people. If you become popular you could have well over 100 viewers talking crap about you and telling you to do things..

Yahoo or Skype. Nothing is 100% safe of course, but if you're careful and you figure out what you're doing before plunging right in the chance of someone gatecrashing your session is minimal.

maybe i wasn't clear. she's interesting in having some online cam fun with others online.

i guess the problem really is:

1.) how do we find other likely minded couples for online fun?
2.) can we do it such that the other participants cannot record the session?

I'd suggest finding like-minded couples on a swingers site, or similar. On a site like SLS Personals, you could introduce yourself as very new to the community and only wanting chat/cam fun with other couples at this time. Camming with other couples who are part of a community that values discretion would dramaticaly decrease your chance of being recorded and plastered all over the internet.

You can't prevent people from recording your show. However, you can have them verify themselves on their own cameras (like make sure both halves of the couple are present and excited to watch/share), get to know people before camming (e.g. ask questions to get a sense of who they are; a couple that's wiling to put on a show for you); wearing masks and covering any identifying marks and items that will be visible on screen. Taking precautions like that will minimize your risk.

You can turn off the stills on C4. And you most definitly can ban people from your room even if you don't have a paid account. You can't PM or have a private room if you don't pay.
