I have a question I would like to throw out to any gays/lesbians out there.

Plenty of straight men enjoy reading (and writing) about lesbian sex. At least some straight women enjoy stories about men sexing other men.

How interested are gays/lesbians in stories about straight couples? And while we're on the topic, do any gays/lesbians enjoy stories about same-sex couples of the opposite sex (ie gay men enjoy stories about lesbians, or lesbians enjoy gay male stories)?

Just curious.

I know a few lesbians who read/watch gay erotica. When asked, one of my friends replied that gay porn was the only porn that straight men haven't fucked up. She liked the relative equality of the partners, and went on to explain that there is some lesbian porn made by women, for women, but that you can't always find it on the internet, and that it is VERY expensive.

I am queer. I read gay erotica because "straight men don't write it." In fact, most of the gay fic that I read is written by women, and more of those women are lesbians than you would expect!

The focus is on the sexual egality-- which opens avenues of choice in other relationship dynamics.

A while back I decided that it was time for me to stop writing m/m and start writing women having sex the way so many women imagine men having sex. So that's what I'm writing mostly, these days.

I have written het erotica, and to make it sexy for me it has to be non-normative-- the dude might be the dominant one in the relationship, but it's not because she's only a girl, yanno what I mean?

I am bi. I can enjoy straight couple sex under certain character-type circumstances. I do enjoy MMF and MM sex. I don't enjoy lesbian sex. I write a bit of it but just for the variety and if it fits the story idea I have.

I live next door to 3 lesbians. I'm amazed they have sex at all as they are so ugly.

It's hard to have sex while you are in stitches talking about your grumpy toad of a neighbor and about how much of the crack in his fat ass shows when he bends over in the garden outside of his trailer. :D

I used to be quite active in the slash/yaoi fandom, which is all about the M/M lovin', and plenty of those writers are lesbian women. But I only know of one lesbian who likes straight porn, and none who write it.

If I could 'like' this post, I would.

Yeah me too. Wonder what that is?

Because it doesn't have a male focus, perhaps? I am not saying that as a put down, there are lots of readers who focus on the male characters, and many of those readers are women.

Or, because you like your erotica raunchy, and so many writers just can't bring themselves to write raunchy lesbian sex... which can make it hard to find the real deal.
