Well a few hours ago I decided to get myself some takeaway, so I went to a local place for some fries, skewered beef and salad.

Soon after I arrived and ordered my grub a family of five walked in with a rather loud talking father. They took their seat and went through the menu and I decided to pay them no attention while I waited for my order to be ready.

But then that said father began to sing some really explicit and offensive songs at the top of his lungs and his kids joining in, I saw the people behind the counter mirroring my own facial expressions at that. The mother made no attempt to stop her hubby and kids from making such a ruckus.

After I got what I ordered, I left that place feeling both disgusted at the guy and feeling sorry for those kids, with such a role model, god knows what kind of future they'll have.

If you don't mind me asking, in what way were they being offensive? Just general vulgarity, or were they being hateful in some kind of way?

I can believe what you are saying quite easilly. I saw a documentary a couple of years ago about the white supremacist subculture in southern America. One segment featured a pair of young girls - I think about 5 and 6 - who had been trained by their mother to sing songs that were hateful towards blacks and jews.

Then there was a story in the news not very long ago about a very young boy singing a song in his church about how god hates gays.

What kind of hope do kids like this have?

EDIT: Hey! Post #500! Go me!

Sounds like the band Prussian Blue - in which case, you might be happy to hear that the girls have since grown out of most of what their parents fed them.

I'm rather surprised that the Management didn't ask them to shut up.

I don't like loudness in public or making a scene in general. However, what is obnoxious to some is great to others. Some would object to them singing "Onward Christian Soldiers" while others would think that was alright, but would object to them singing some racist song, or a song perceived to be racist, about any race.
