Writing Goal for the Day?

I'd like to get the review done on a mainstream pen name mystery today so that I can send it to readers and then review it again before sending it to the publisher. I'm close on getting that done.

Not much writing will get done. My parents and brother (who's on leave) are with us b/c of power outages in NJ from the big storm that went through Friday night. Best estimates on power returning seem to be Wednesday.

Lately my insomnia is dictating my writing patterns. I find I write more when I can't sleep, but many times what comes out isn't what I intended.

Looks like I'm shit out of luck in trying to get my Canada Day chapter done in time, so I thought of something else as a tie in and it seems to be working out well. I'm starting to like these impromptu chapters that pop into my head.

Had an idea for an epilogue for R&B (just an indulgence on my part, really, but hey, I'm the author), now just need to find time to write it. Won't be too long but I'm hoping it'll be fun.

Completed the first chapter of FMRS yesterday.

Today, I want to edit chapter 11 of TC to give it a better cliffhanger for the ending.

R&B11 is up and getting nice feedback, also kind of interesting feedback. The epilogue I planned for 12 will either change a lot, or not happen.

Writing is happening in spurts as the PennParents are still here -- and still out of power in NJ. Poor Mom wants to go home.

A 200,000-word book edit has dropped. Yuck. I'm also trying to get the final review done on a pen name mainstream mystery and get that back to the publisher.

Well, I got done the edits to the end of chapter 11 of TC.

Now I'm not certain if I should start yet another story who's ideas are bouncing around in my head or work on another chapter of one of my other stories.

Just submitted ch 18 of ALMI last night, after 2 days of intense typing of 13500 words. It's time for a small break and organize the next 2 chapters. Ch 20 is going to make a few people wonder where this series is going.

In all of my incest work so far I build up a reason for the taboo attraction. I "justify" the incest so to speak.

No one seems to complain, I have good scores and vote totals. However, I've decided to go a different route and try a short stroke piece. Going to just start off as if its been going on for years and have a short dirty little encounter.

But with my nephews up from Florida this week its tough to find the time.

My parents just left this morning (here's hoping they don't hit a lot of traffic). I think mom couldn't take it anymore -- had to see how things were for herself -- and Dad will have to go to work tomorrow. So it's nice to have the house back to ourselves. I'm not sure exactly what this will do for writing, since the PennKids are still here.

However, I did finish the last chapter of R&B, and after some experimenting, opted against an epilogue. It just wasn't working. So today we go to my uncle's for a party and then hopefully we're back to whatever normal it is we have here. And I already can't wait for the weekend.

My temporary writing goals are:

1. To reach a total of 200 posted submissions. I'm currently on 193 with one story chapter pending.

2. To reach a total of 200 posted stories. The total of 193 includes 11 poems.

3. To post a total of twenty poems after achieving goals 1 and 2.

4. To get Jeanne D'Artois' submissions up to 50. 'She' is currently on 21 including 1 poem.

Longer Term:

To complete all outstanding series or chaptered stories and the sequels that have to be written. Some of that might be achieved on the way to goals 1 and 2.

No, I guess not. Maybe I'll write an incest story about hockey playing siblings just for you!

But yes was referring to time. My youngest moved out a year ago and even before that at 18 was never home anyway.

This is the forst time I've been "saddled" with kids in a while.

I don't miss it that's for sure.

I'm finished R&B. I always feel a little weird when I finish a story. I have others to work on, and other related things to work on, but still, not having that out there to finish puts me off kilter a bit.
