How much more evidence do you need re: Conservatives being out of touch w/America?

Out of touch?

These posts have no context in reality. The theocracy argument is liberal spin and nothing more.

It's more out of touch when you cannot recognize the difference between what a politician says and what he does. The disciples...*ahem*...FOLLOWERS of Obama hear his "magic" words and bow at his feet. Meanwhile he does the opposite of what he says and they continue to blindly follow.

THAT is out of touch.

He did mostly what he said, and compromised on the rest. Being stubborn and refusing to change based on situations and new information (EVIDENCE) is out of touch.

Not blindly. More like, what else ya gonna do?! Progressives/leftists can't win, and only an evil idiot would risk another Republican in the WH! It's not just the next four years, either, Romney-or-Obama might get the chance to appoint two or three SCOTUS justices! And looking at the records of such, we must never, ever have another appointed by a Pub!

I held my nose at the voting booth when I voted for Obama the first time.

I will gladly breath deep this time as I turn down GDubs retart cousin by some other aunt and vote for Obama again.

Hardly.
A country doesn't have to be like 2001 Afghanistan to be a theocracy, or have leanings towards being one.

If you actually listen to what politicians say and thought about laws in this country, you'd know that.

Are you not familiar with Reconstructionism and Dominionism? There is a wing of the grassroots base of the GOP that actually takes these things seriously, and it does have some influence with some actual Republican elected officials. In fact, the theocon wing has been trying to take over the GOP since the 1980s, using the strategy -- highly successful, actually -- of running candidates "under the radar" for low-profile local-office elections, dissembling their real agendas and priorities, and then building on that base to reach higher offices.
