The Medicaid provision is projected to add nearly 30 million more people to the insurance program for low-income Americans -- but the court’s decision left states free to opt out of the expansion if they choose.

The debt ridden States will opt out. No penalty for those who do not choose to get coverage. Hardly the magic cure-all healthcare bill.

Everybody knew reform was needed. It should have been done in the open, bipartisan manner Obama promised. Instead, Obamacare was rammed through in partisan fashion, with votes at midnight, votes in a blizzard, votes on Christmas Eve, votes bought via the "Cornhusker Kickback," etc.

Obama angrily said Obamacare was "not a tax."

Supreme Court could have decided in 5 minutes that the commerce clause was not that wide and that Obamacare was indeed a tax. Everybody already knew taxes could be raised.

Cost of adding 30 million people to a new federal program will be breathtaking.
