Next June, Apple will be closing down the servers that I have been using for sharing these photos. Virtually all of the images on this thread will disappear when that happens. Instead of trying to change every link to whatever service I decide to start using, I'm just going to close this thread. I'm not sure when I'll be doing this, but I can't see the point in adding any new photos to a thread that will eventually dry up, so for now, I'm just going to stop sharing anything new here. (It's not like I've been super prolific on the new picture front, and I've gained a few pounds in the last few months so I'm not as trim as I used to be. That will need to be remedied once I start living like a single bachelor again.)

So, thank you to everyone who has taken the time to share their thoughts on the photos. I look forward to the day when I can start posting even more narcissistic photos.

This is from a series I think I never shared on this site. I was walking around an abandoned construction site near Biscayne Bay and decided to take some pictures in the trees on a path flooded with water at high tide. The water was receding by the time I started taking pictures, but I managed to get some shots as I rinsed my body with water squeezed from a wet bandana. It was terribly hot, but the cool water felt great.

On another note, June 30th is the deadline for removing files from the MobileMe servers that I have used for the past few years to serve my photos. As a result, almost all of the links to photos will stop working after that date. Some of the more recent stuff is served from my SmugMug site and those will be available indefinitely.

I suppose I could edit the entire thread (including the index) to update some of the photo link locations, but I just don't yet have the inclination to do such a thing. In the meantime, you can always visit the SM site and view a lot of the images.

Don't worry your pretty (opposite of little) head about the broken links. I have been enjoying your pictures and videos.. More than enough! And I'm sure there are plenty more I haven't seen yet.

It just took me twenty minutes (!!!) to update the links to four videos in the index and in their respective posts. Ugh. I foresee a lot of procrastination in my future time on Lit.
